Master, Doctor Dinh Thi Phuong Thuy, CEO of Dong Do Hospital, said that the rate of myopia in the world is expected to increase to 50% by 2050, and this condition is also increasing in Vietnam. Therefore, the demand for refractive disease care services will increase. Choosing the optimal treatment method, suitable for age, and the ability to recover quickly after surgery is very important.

This is the optimal method in refractive surgery, with short surgery time, fewer complications and faster recovery time, helping to minimize post-operative blurred vision and dry eyes.

Master, Doctor Dinh Thi Phuong Thuy, CEO of Dong Do Hospital, said that SmartSight tightly integrates the diagnostic machine system, ensuring that the surgical process is personalized and accurate to every parameter.

"SmartSight helps reduce patient anxiety by shortening eye fixation time and laser time to just 15 seconds per eye. The suction force is much lower than previous methods, making patients more comfortable during surgery, thereby reducing the risk of complications," said Dr. Thuy.

After 1 year of pioneering the application of the world's leading nearsightedness removal technology SmartSight, Dong Do Eye has become the leading unit in the number of SmartSight nearsightedness removal surgeries in Vietnam and Asia. In just 3 months, Dong Do Eye has successfully performed more than 500 surgeries and after only 5 months, that number has reached 1,000 surgeries.

However, Dr. Thuy also warned that not all patients can apply this method. Doctors need to carefully evaluate eye parameters, medical conditions and other factors to determine suitability.
