Forecast for January 26th, day and night: This cold air mass will affect other areas in the Northeast region, then affect the North Central region, Northwest region, Central Central region, and some areas in the South Central region. Northeast winds inland will strengthen to level 3, coastal areas to levels 3-4, with gusts up to level 6 in some places.
In Northern Vietnam and North Central Vietnam, the weather will be intensely cold, with severe cold in mountainous areas, and the possibility of frost and ice in high mountainous regions; in Central Vietnam, the weather will turn cold from the night of January 26th.
The lowest temperatures during this cold spell in Northern Vietnam and North Central Vietnam will generally range from 9-12 degrees Celsius, 6-8 degrees Celsius in the mountainous areas of Northern Vietnam, and below 3 degrees Celsius in some high mountainous areas; in the area from Quang Binh to Hue, temperatures will generally range from 14-17 degrees Celsius; and in the area from Da Nang to Quang Ngai, temperatures will generally range from 16-19 degrees Celsius.
In the Hanoi area, there will be occasional rain and showers during the day. The weather will be very cold. The lowest temperature during this cold spell will generally be 9-12 degrees Celsius.
Due to the influence of the strengthening cold front, on January 26th, both day and night, the Northern and North Central regions will experience scattered rain and showers, with some areas experiencing thunderstorms; from January 26th to 28th, the Central Central region will have rain and showers, with localized heavy rain and thunderstorms.
The mountainous areas are experiencing severe cold, and high mountain regions may experience frost and hoarfrost.
During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
