According to the Hydrometeorological Station of Thua Thien Hue province, during the April 30 holiday (from April 27 to May 2), the weather in Thua Thien Hue province will be mainly hot and extremely hot. The highest temperature during the day is from 39-41 degrees Celsius, with some days recording over 41 degrees Celsius.

This year, the extremely hot weather occurring in many places is expected to significantly affect the travel plans of many people. However, it was noted that at the Hue Imperial City relic site, during the first two days of the holiday, there were still many tourists coming to visit.

Today (April 28), in the plains, midlands, coastal areas and Hue city (Thua Thien Hue province), temperatures were recorded at 40-42 degrees Celsius. This is the highest temperature since the beginning of the season, surpassing the highest temperature of 41.5 degrees Celsius that occurred on May 7, 2023.

The weather is hot, many tourists come to historical sites early to avoid the sun.

To adapt to the weather, many tourists bring umbrellas, hats, hoods, sunscreen... during their visit.

Faced with hot weather, tourists cannot avoid fatigue.

On this occasion, Hue's tourist attractions also recorded a large number of foreign tourists.

Many children were also taken by their families and schools to visit Hue relics during the April 30 holiday.

"At this time, not only Hue but also many other provinces and cities are experiencing intense heat. However, my family chose Hue to visit during the holiday because this is a city with many trees, many rivers and streams, Hue also has the sea. Many tourist attractions in Hue can avoid the summer heat," said Mr. Phan Bao Long (a tourist from Hanoi).

The hot weather does not reduce the joy and excitement of many tourists when coming to Hue.

According to statistics from the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province by the end of April 26, the province is estimated to welcome about 100,000 visitors during this holiday; the total number of guests who have booked accommodation is estimated at 55,000; the average room occupancy rate of tourist accommodation establishments is 82%, most hotels, including 4-5 star hotels and homestays, are fully booked during peak days from April 27 to April 29. On this occasion, many events will be held in the area to serve people and tourists such as: Hue Traditional Cuisine Week (April 27 - May 1), Thuan An Sea Calling Program (April 29), Thanh Toan Tile Bridge Festival, etc.

Previously, the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province sent an official dispatch to travel businesses, tourist attractions, transportation units, tourist accommodation establishments, dining and shopping establishments... requesting them to ensure security, fire prevention and fighting safety, food hygiene and safety, and sell goods at the correct listed prices at the establishments.

To protect your health in the current hot weather, health experts recommend that everyone wear loose, airy, light-colored clothing; drink enough water; apply sunscreen, wear a wide-brimmed hat when going out; avoid alcoholic beverages. In particular, avoid visiting during the peak of the hottest time of the day.
