On major streets such as Nguyen Chi Thanh, Huynh Thuc Khang, Dai Co Viet, Ba Trieu, Pho Hue ,... there are only a few cars and motorbikes moving slowly.

On the streets of the Old Quarter, many people have chosen to go out with their relatives and friends quite early and visit the city center and the Old Quarter of Hanoi to take souvenir photos to celebrate the new spring. In addition, the areas around Hoan Kiem Lake and the Hanoi Opera House are also frequented by people in the capital to enjoy spring on the first day of the new year of the Year of the Dragon.

Despite the absence of cars and motorbikes, Hanoi streets were still crowded with people exercising on the first day of Tet. From joggers and cyclists to the elderly exercising by the lake, everyone wished for a lucky and healthy new year. Speaking to Lao Dong, Vinh and his wife - living in Thanh Nhan area (Hai Ba Trung district) - said that they woke up early and completed all the necessary work on the morning of the first day of Tet. After that, they went cycling together to pray for a healthy new year.

“I believe that if you do something good on the first morning of Tet, it will be good for the whole year. Therefore, my wife and I chose to exercise to pray for a healthy new year. If you want to pray for health, you have to exercise first,” Vinh shared.
