Green transition according to ESG principles is a global trend aimed at minimizing human impact on the environment. This includes various aspects such as green energy transition, green industry, sustainable energy, and the circular economy .
Green transformation according to ESG standards brings many benefits to businesses, such as increased revenue, creating a competitive advantage; positively impacting the brand; receiving support from the Government ; attracting investors and green investment capital.
However, businesses still face many challenges when implementing green transformation, including difficulties in securing capital, finding qualified personnel for emission reduction, and accessing information.
Furthermore, in a recent report by the Private Economic Development Research Board (Board IV), over 60% of the 2,700 businesses surveyed stated that they were unprepared for the green transformation process. Many other businesses, when asked, also expressed confusion about green transformation, not knowing where to start or what to do...
Dan Tri Newspaper organized a seminar titled "Green Transformation According to ESG: What Should Businesses Do When Resources Are Limited?" to discuss the benefits and challenges of implementing green transformation according to ESG. From there, speakers offered necessary solutions to help businesses more easily move towards sustainable development.
The panel discussion will take place at 9:00 AM on November 19th with the participation of the following speakers:
- Mr. Phan Minh Thong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Phuc Sinh Group.
- Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA).
- Mr. Pham Viet Anh - Doctor of Sustainable Business Administration (DBA); PhD Candidate in Sustainable Development and Diplomacy (UN Treaty University).
This seminar is a satellite event of the Vietnam ESG Forum initiated by Dan Tri newspaper. The Vietnam ESG Forum officially launched in May, receiving much positive feedback from the community and professionals with the aim of promoting and developing ESG standards in business operations.
The ESG Vietnam Forum 2024, themed "Sustainable Development Strategies in the New Era," will take place on December 25th in Hanoi.
