(Dan Tri) - Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa - Chairman of HUBA - stated that the common mentality of Vietnamese enterprises is "waiting until the water reaches their feet to jump", but if we wait, we may not be able to jump in time, so we need to choose a solution and a green transition roadmap.

Green transition according to ESG is a global trend, aiming to minimize human impact on the environment. This activity includes many categories such as green energy transition, green industry, sustainable energy and circular economy .

Green transformation according to ESG brings many benefits to businesses, such as increasing revenue, creating competitive advantages; positively impacting the brand; receiving support from the Government ; attracting investors and green investment capital.

However, when implementing green transformation, businesses still face many challenges in terms of capital, personnel with expertise in emission reduction, or difficult access to information...

In fact, in a recent report by the Private Economic Development Research Board (Board IV), more than 60% of the 2,700 surveyed enterprises said they were not prepared for the green transition. Many other enterprises, when asked, were also confused about the green transition story, not knowing where to start and what to do?...

Dan Tri Newspaper organized a discussion on "Green transformation according to ESG: What do businesses do when resources are limited" to discuss the benefits and difficulties when businesses implement green transformation according to ESG. From there, the speakers proposed necessary solutions to help businesses more easily move towards sustainable development.

The talk will take place at 9am on November 19 with the participation of the following speakers:

- Mr. Phan Minh Thong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Phuc Sinh Group.

- Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa - Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA).

- Mr. Pham Viet Anh - PhD in Sustainable Business Administration (DBA); PhD in Sustainable Development and Diplomacy (UN Treaty University).

This seminar is a satellite event of the Vietnam ESG Forum initiated by Dan Tri newspaper. The Vietnam ESG Forum was officially launched in May, receiving many positive responses from the community and experts to promote and develop ESG standards in business activities of enterprises.

The Vietnam ESG Forum 2024 with the theme "Sustainable development strategy in the new era" will take place on December 25 in Hanoi.
