In recent years, along with the strong development of Vietnam's tourism industry, Hai Phong city has quickly grasped the trend, built and developed a unique tourism product with a strong local imprint, which is the "foodtour" tourism type.

From a culinary discovery trend among the youth community, Hai Phong foodtour has gradually become a professional and methodical tourism product, contributing to enriching the tourism picture of the Port City.

Following that success, from May 10-12, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong organized the Hai Phong Food Festival 2025 at Hai Phong Station and Nguyen Du Flower Garden.

The event is not only a practical activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025) and the 2025 Red Flamboyant Festival, but also promotes the city's tourism brand and unique culinary culture to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.

Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong affirmed: Hai Phong - a coastal land, a convergence of dynamic, talented people and a unique, colorful culinary culture. The changes of history, the process of cultural exchange and acculturation have contributed to the formation of a treasure trove of Hai Phong cuisine that is liberal, individual and full of the sea.

20 stalls, introducing special street foods.

This festival brings together 25 food stalls, of which Nguyen Du Flower Garden has 20 stalls, introducing unique street foods, specialties of districts and typical OCOP products. Some of the dishes that have become “brand representatives” of Hai Phong cuisine include: crab spring rolls, crab rice noodles, Kien Thuy braised sardines, baguettes, water fern cakes, chrysanthemum tea, coconut coffee, sui din…

In addition, the Hai Phong Station area has 5 booths displaying and selling take-away food tours, souvenirs, handmade items and providing information about tours, routes and tourist destinations in Hai Phong.

Notably, within the framework of the festival, there are also booths selling Hai Duong specialties such as green bean cakes, blood worms, Con Son honey, Kiep Bac lotus wine, etc., contributing to creating more diversity and attractiveness for the culinary space, while tightening the connection to develop regional tourism between Hai Phong and neighboring provinces and cities.

Not only enjoying delicious dishes, visitors can also participate in many exciting activities such as street art performances, gift-winning games, and live check-in, creating a bustling and bustling festival atmosphere throughout the three days of the event.
