Nearly 1,200 people participated in the 1st Da Phuc Commune Sports Festival

From early morning, the marching groups from 33 villages, 7 primary schools, and 7 secondary schools simultaneously participated in the parade, physical education, martial arts, folk dancing, health care..., creating a brilliant and healthy picture, affirming the spirit of "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".

In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Phuc Commune Pham Hong Thai emphasized that the Sports Festival is not only an occasion to summarize and commend the mass sports movement, but also contributes to improving health and physical strength, creating a competitive atmosphere in the whole commune, towards the goal of comprehensive human development. The first Congress is also an opportunity to select outstanding athletes to participate in the 11th Capital Sports Festival and the 9th National Sports Festival.

After the opening ceremony, the competitions began, including: Football, volleyball, badminton, shuttlecock kicking, athletics and tug of war. The matches were fierce and exciting, attracting a large crowd to cheer, demonstrating the spirit of honest and noble sportsmanship.

At the Congress, the Organizing Committee recognized and rewarded many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements. In particular, in the door ball sport: Luong Phuc village won the first prize; Chua village won the second prize; Ben and Kim Ha villages shared the third prize. In the volleyball sport: Tien Tao village's male and female both won the first prize; the second prize went to Ba Hang (male) and Phu Tang (female). In the soccer sport: The first prize went to Viet Long Primary School and Kim Lu Secondary School. In the badminton, shuttlecock kicking, and athletics, many outstanding young faces were recognized, such as: Nguyen Dan Huy (Xuan Giang Secondary School), Nguyen Duc Cong (Viet Long Secondary School), Nguyen Linh Nhi (Duc Hoa Secondary School), Nguyen Anh Tuan (Xuan Giang Primary School), Quach Thao My (Duc Hoa Primary School)...

According to the Organizing Committee, the whole commune has 26/33 villages, 7 secondary schools and 7 primary schools organizing the grassroots sports festival, attracting thousands of participants. Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Phuc Commune Pham Hong Thai affirmed that the success of the festival is the result of the spirit of solidarity, the will to practice sports of the people and the close attention of the Party Committee and the government in the work of developing the grassroots sports movement. The festival has contributed to creating an exciting atmosphere, promoting the spirit of "Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland", at the same time arousing the pride and will to rise of the people of Da Phuc in the new period.
