The Opening Ceremony of the Press Center to promote activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification was held on the morning of April 27 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Attending the ceremony were Politburo member, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important events of the country in the 3 years 2023-2025 Nguyen Trong Nghia; Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, along with leaders of the Ministries of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Science and Technology, and leaders of Ho Chi Minh City.
At the ceremony, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc said that the preparations for the rally taking place on the morning of April 30, 2025 in the City have been attracting special attention from domestic people and international friends, especially the enthusiastic and strong support of reporters and the press.
The “press arms” have played a very important role in recording, transmitting and spreading this atmosphere to the people of the whole country, creating a positive effect on media-press platforms both domestically and internationally. Thereby, contributing to reviving heroic historical moments, demonstrating the determination of the whole country in the spirit of entering a new era.
There were 169 international reporters from 39 news agencies and 17 countries; more than 630 reporters from 81 domestic press agencies registered to work at the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
To facilitate the team of reporters and editors to convey information and images of the ceremony to the people of the whole country and the world , the Press Center for Propaganda of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day is located at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association, right next to the area where the rally and parade are held.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc requested relevant departments, branches and units to coordinate closely and effectively, creating the most favorable conditions for press activities; organizing for leaders of press agencies, reporters and editors to work most effectively, ensuring continuity during the Celebration, especially taking photos, transmitting images and live audio.
For press agencies, reporters and editors, it is necessary to demonstrate authenticity, correct context, ensure the message is conveyed; must put national and ethnic interests above all and best serve the socio-economic development of the country in general, and Ho Chi Minh City in particular./.
