ST25 rice wins 'World's Best Rice' award for the second time

The delicious rice competition had the participation of more than 10 countries with 30 rice samples submitted. As a result, Indian rice won 3rd prize, Cambodia 2nd prize and the product "Mr. Cua ST25 Rice" won first prize. This is the second time Mr. Cua's ST25 rice variety won first prize, the first time was in 2019.

Responding to Thanh Nien from Cebu, Mr. Ho Quang Cua said: "ST25 rice won the "World's Best Rice" award for the second time, making me extremely happy and proud because Vietnamese rice was once again honored in the highest position in the world". Mr. Cua said that the rice sample for the contest was grown on a scale of 2.6 hectares in Tien Cuong Hamlet, Thanh Thoi An Commune (Tran De District, Soc Trang ), among hundreds of experimental rice fields with biological products to prevent diseases and insects on rice plants.

"With this result, I hope that the ST25 variety can be included in the One Million Hectare Project of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, we can further upgrade Vietnamese rice grains," Mr. Cua hopes.
