According to statistics, Vietnam earned nearly 10 trillion VND from coffee exports in the first 15 days of 2025. Specifically, businesses exported nearly 73,820 tons of green coffee beans, bringing in nearly 400 million USD for the economy.
Although coffee exports decreased by 23% in volume, the export value increased sharply by 41% compared to the same period last year. This indicates a positive adjustment in prices, allowing businesses to reap higher profits from the reduced export volume.
Amid supply shortages, Vietnam exported a total of over 1.34 million tons of coffee in 2024, a sharp decrease of 17.1% compared to 2023, marking the lowest level in nine years. However, thanks to the surge in global coffee prices, the export value reached a new record of $5.6 billion, exceeding the previous record of $4.24 billion in 2023 by 32.5%.
This development not only affirms the position of Vietnamese coffee in the international market but also opens up positive prospects for the coffee industry in 2025. Businesses and farmers need to continue monitoring market conditions to take advantage of new opportunities, while preparing for potential challenges from price fluctuations and supply.
