Gia Lai approves high-tech agricultural project worth over 1,600 billion VND

Tay Nguyen Energy Resources Technology Joint Stock Company (TRE HIGHLAND JSC) is the investor of the TRE - Dak Doa High-Tech Agriculture Project with an area of ​​over 450 hectares, expected to start construction in the second quarter of 2026.

Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has just approved the investment policy and investor for Tay Nguyen Energy Resources Technology Joint Stock Company to implement the TRE - Dak Doa High-tech Agriculture Project.

The TRE - Dak Doa High-Tech Agriculture Project is implemented with the goal of becoming a center of science and technology, researching and applying new technologies in testing, trial production, incubation, applying research results to crop production, organizing training, transferring technology, to create high technology serving agriculture, planting and breeding, medicinal plants, fruit trees applying high technology, post-harvest service activities, preliminary processing, preservation...

The project is implemented on an area of ​​over 457 hectares in 3 communes of Dak Doa, KDang and Ia Bang. Of which, the high-tech agricultural production area is over 377 hectares; the testing, demonstration and selection area for production of some plant varieties is over 36 hectares; the traffic road connecting the production areas is over 20 hectares; the study, research, experiment and operation area is over 19.4 hectares.

In terms of scale, the project will supply domestic and foreign markets with 4,239 tons/year of medicinal plant products; 109 tons/year of coffee; and 1,833 million plant varieties of all kinds.

Fruit trees include avocado 968 tons/year; durian 603 tons/year; passion fruit 7,585 tons/year; mango 160 tons/year.

Vegetables and beans of all kinds include sweet corn 4,658 tons/year; baby corn 699 tons/year; chili, bell pepper 1,414 tons/year; Japanese cucumber 6,464 tons/year; some other vegetables 2,778 tons/year.

The project has a total investment capital of 1,675 billion VND, of which the investor's capital contribution to implement the project is 335 billion VND. The project implementation progress is from the third quarter of 2025 to the fourth quarter of 2029, in which the project will start construction from the second quarter of 2026.

Tay Nguyen Energy Resources Technology Joint Stock Company (abbreviated name is TRE HIGHLAND JSC) was established on March 18, 2020, headquartered at 1518 Truong Chinh Street, Chi Lang Ward, Pleiku City, Gia Lai Province (now Hoi Phu Ward). The company representative is Ms. Nguyen Thi Lam Phuong.

At the Gia Lai province investment promotion conference in 2025, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Lam Phuong, General Director of Tay Nguyen Energy Resources Technology Joint Stock Company, received a memorandum of understanding on a high-tech agricultural project in Gia Lai (estimated capital of 1,500 billion VND).

It is known that in 2020, Energy Resources Technology Joint Stock Company (abbreviated name TRE) established Tay Nguyen Energy Resources Technology Joint Stock Company with a capital of 980 billion VND to operate in the field of renewable energy.

In Gia Lai province, in early January 2022, two subsidiaries of Energy Resources Technology Joint Stock Company also inaugurated two wind power projects, both with a designed capacity of 99 MW and 22 wind turbine towers.

Accordingly, Ia Pet Dak Doa Wind Power Joint Stock Company No. 1 is the investor of Ia Pet-Dak Doa Wind Power Plant No. 1 (VND 3,695 billion); Ia Pet Dak Doa Wind Power Joint Stock Company No. 2 is the investor of Ia Pet-Dak Doa Wind Power Plant No. 2 (VND 3,636 billion).

In the report sent to the Ministry of Finance on October 18, 2025 on the investment performance results for the first 9 months of 2025, Mr. Nguyen Van Chau, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance of Gia Lai province, informed that since the beginning of the year, Gia Lai province has attracted 144 investment projects (the target assigned by the Provincial People's Committee is 165 projects) with a total registered investment capital of 78,003.1 billion VND. Most of the projects are in the industrial sector with 66 projects; the area is outside the economic zone, industrial park, and cluster with 77 projects.
Of these, 130 domestic investment projects have a total registered capital of VND42,515.4 billion and 14 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects have a total investment capital of VND35,487.7 billion (equivalent to USD1,410.8 million).
At the same time, the province adjusted 142 projects with an additional investment capital of VND6,552.79 billion, and revoked and terminated 5 projects.
In the first 9 months of 2025, the Department of Finance received a total of 437 investment dossiers for processing; including 262 dossiers on procedures for approving investment policies and issuing new investment registration certificates; 175 dossiers on procedures for adjusting investment policies, investment registration certificates and other procedures.
