On July 20, at the Center for Scientific Discovery and Innovation (ExploraScience Quy Nhon), the award ceremony of the Robotacon Gia Lai 2025 competition was held. The competition was co-organized by the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province in coordination with Viet Tinh Anh Joint Stock Company - the official distributor of LEGO Education in Vietnam.

With more than 50 teams and 118 students from primary and secondary schools in the province participating, Robotacon Gia Lai 2025 is not simply a competition, but a journey of creative experience and integrated learning. The competition groups are divided by age and genre, from assembling and programming robots to compete on a sand table, to dramatic confrontations such as robot sumo or robot soccer.
The competition has contributed to bringing to life the STEM education method (integrating knowledge and skills from four fields: Science , Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). It helps students apply interdisciplinary knowledge to solve practical problems, develop logical thinking, teamwork skills and especially inspire a love for science and technology.
Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang and Ms. Vibeke Holtum Bendix Nørgaard awarded 5 First prizes to 5 competing teams.
After two days of competition, the organizing committee awarded 5 first prizes to excellent teams from the following schools: Ngo May Primary School (group B0), Le Hong Phong Secondary School (group B2), iSChool Quy Nhon (group B4), Cat Tai Secondary School (sumo group), and Nhon Loc Primary School (soccer group).
According to the organizers, Robotacon Gia Lai 2025 has been recognized as part of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) international tournament system, opening up opportunities for winning teams to enter regional and world competitions. Four teams will represent Gia Lai in the national finals and three other teams will participate in the Southern regional finals taking place in Ho Chi Minh City this August. If successful, the journey will continue to the world finals in Singapore in November this year.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Ms. Vibeke Holtum Bendix Nørgaard - Education Counselor, Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam, highly appreciated the serious competitive spirit, creativity and passion for technology of Gia Lai students.
“We believe that Robotacon is not just a competition, but an opportunity for students to develop thinking, programming and problem-solving skills – key factors for future success,” Ms. Vibeke shared.
According to Mr. Lam Hai Giang - Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, Robotacon is a practical activity, concretizing the goal of building Gia Lai into a regional science and technology center, especially in key areas such as semiconductor technology and artificial intelligence.

According to Mr. Giang, STEM education is the foundation for developing high-quality human resources in the future. Gia Lai province has issued a project to develop STEM education for the period 2025-2030, focusing on innovating teaching methods, enhancing practical experience and improving the capacity of the teaching staff.
“Robotacon is not only a place to find champions, but also a place to nurture aspirations, connect passions and form the future generation of technology citizens,” the Vice Chairman of Gia Lai province hopes.
