Accordingly, at about 10:06 p.m. on August 13, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department ( Da Nang City Police) received a fire alarm from the City Police Command Information Center about a fire at lot 32 Thang Long Street (Cam Le Ward).
Immediately, the unit mobilized 2 fire trucks, 1 rescue vehicle and a special elite rescue team to quickly arrive at the scene.
Upon approaching, the commander quickly assessed the situation and simultaneously deployed multiple approaches including the main door and the left side door. Another team approached the second floor balcony, guiding the five trapped people to escape through the ladder to a safe area.
The Fire Police used hammers and axes to break the glass and spray water to control the fire; opened the side door on the first floor to let out the smoke, creating favorable conditions for fire fighting. The second floor scouts quickly checked the bedrooms, opened the smoke doors, and rescued another male victim trapped on the side balcony on the second floor.
At about 22:31, the fire was basically extinguished, smoke was sucked out, and all trapped people were safely rescued.
