Binh Thuan Golf Tournament – Green Convergence promotes Binh Thuan tourism

Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: The Binh Thuan Golf Tournament - Green Convergence 2023, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is part of the series of events for the 2023 National Tourism Year “Binh Thuan - Green Convergence” and to celebrate the 28th anniversary of Binh Thuan Tourism Day (October 24, 1995 - October 24, 2023).

The tournament will officially take place on October 14th, attracting nearly 200 golfers from golf clubs and associations in Binh Thuan and neighboring provinces and cities such as Ninh Thuan , Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Lam Dong, and Khanh Hoa. Golfers will compete in individual stroke play for men and women in three categories based on handicap: Category A, Category B, and Category C.

A highlight of the Binh Thuan Golf Tournament - Green Convergence 2023 also comes from the new and captivating experiences offered by the tournament venue - the PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet golf course complex. This tournament also serves as a fundraising event to support 28 underprivileged but academically gifted students in Tien Thanh commune, Phan Thiet city, and to contribute to the province's "Continuing the Journey to School" fund.

The 36-hole PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet golf course is a prominent amenity located within the 1,000-hectare NovaWorld Phan Thiet Economic, Tourism and Entertainment City, designed by golf legend Greg Norman. It is also the only golf course in Vietnam that meets the standards and holds exclusive rights from the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) to host tournaments within their system.

The Binh Thuan Golf Tournament - Green Convergence 2023 also receives support and collaboration from the business community inside and outside the province, travel agencies, resort companies, hotels, and resorts, all sharing the common goal of creating more diversity and attractiveness for the series of activities in the National Tourism Year 2023. This contributes to promoting the province's tourism industry and, in particular, promoting Binh Thuan's golf tourism – a new destination on the domestic and international golf tourism map.

The 2023 National Tourism Year, "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence," features over 200 cultural, sports, and tourism events on an inter-provincial, national, and international scale, which have been and will continue to take place throughout 2023. These include: Street Culture Week, World Performing Arts Festival; National Rowing and Canoeing Club Championships; Binh Thuan Golden Tourism Week; International Kiteboarding and Windsurfing Competitions… This has been a driving force attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists to Binh Thuan in recent times and is expected to explode towards the end of the year with the participation of many attractive cultural and sports activities...
