The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) announced on May 11 that the 31st World Travel Awards for Asia and Oceania are now open for voting at www.worldtravelawards.com. The voting period ends on July 23, 2024.
This year, at the national level, Vietnam has been nominated in several important categories. These include: Asia's Leading Beach Destination 2024; Asia's Leading Culture Destination 2024; Asia's Leading Destination 2024; Asia's Leading Heritage Destination 2024; Asia's Leading Natural Destination 2024; and Asia's Leading Youth Travel Destination 2024.
The Vietnam National Tourism Administration has been nominated for the category of Asia's Leading Tourism Board 2024.

Many key tourist destinations in our country were also nominated in different categories. In particular, the Hanoi Department of Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism were nominated as Asia's Leading City Tourist Board 2024.
Quang Nam Department of Tourism has been nominated for the title of Asia's Leading Regional City Tourist Board 2024.
In addition, Ho Chi Minh City has been nominated for the category of Asia's Leading Business Travel Destination 2024.
Hanoi is nominated in two categories: Asia's Leading City Break Destination 2024 and Asia's Leading City Destination 2024.

Hoi An and Hue are both nominated in the category of Asia's Leading Culture City Destination 2024.
Ha Giang and Ha Nam are nominated in the category of Asia's Leading Emerging Tourism Destination 2024. Ha Nam is also named in the category of Asia's Leading Regional Cultural Destination 2024.
Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City have both been nominated in the category of Asia's Festival and Event Destination 2024.

Phu Quoc has been nominated for Asia's Leading Luxury Island Destination 2023. Moc Chau has been nominated for Asia's Leading Regional Natural Destination 2024.
In addition, Vietnam's tourism sector received numerous other nominations in the fields of aviation, hotels, travel, and top Asian attractions.
The World Travel Awards (WTA), established in 1993, are considered the "Oscars" of the tourism industry. Held annually, the awards honor outstanding destinations and quality tourism service providers across various sectors such as airlines, hotels, resorts, travel companies, and tourist destinations.
In 2023, Vietnam tourism was honored to be named in 45 categories of Asia's top awards. At the national level, Vietnam was awarded "Asia's Leading Destination 2023" and "Asia's Leading Nature Destination 2023".
This is the 5th time Vietnam has been voted "Asia's Leading Destination," including 3 consecutive wins (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023) and the 2nd consecutive win of "Asia's Leading Nature Destination" (2022 and 2023), affirming the brand and special appeal of Vietnamese tourism.
To vote for Vietnam's tourism, the public can access the website https://www.worldtravelawards.com; select "Sign up" to create a voting account; and confirm the account via email. Then, select "Login" to access the website, choose Vietnam's tourism nominees, and vote. Each account can only vote once for each award category.
The community's attention and votes will contribute to honoring Vietnamese tourism, promoting the image of a country and its friendly, hospitable people who always welcome tourists to destinations rich in national identity, a convergence of cultural essence, modern development, quality services, and an ideal safe environment.
