Mr. Franck Bolgiani stated that this was his first visit to the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, and upon arrival, he was immediately impressed by the building's architecture, a harmonious blend of French design and Vietnamese folk art. Vietnam and France share a long history of relations and numerous cultural exchanges. The French Institute in Hanoi always welcomes and actively supports cultural cooperation between the two countries. In Vietnam, the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum is one of the leading institutions in the field of preserving and promoting cultural and artistic values. In the future, the Institute hopes to implement many concrete cooperation programs with the Museum, contributing to promoting cultural exchange and enhancing mutual understanding between the public of both countries.
On behalf of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, Director Nguyen Anh Minh expressed his gratitude for Mr. Franck Bolgiani's goodwill. He stated that France has played a crucial role in the development of Vietnamese fine arts, particularly with the establishment of the Indochina College of Fine Arts (now the Vietnam University of Fine Arts), initiated and headed by the French painter Victor Tardieu. In recent years, Vietnamese fine arts have seen many positive signs in the repatriation of numerous works from France to Vietnam. He hoped that the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and the French Institute in Hanoi would soon collaborate on professional activities, exhibitions, and cultural and artistic exchanges.
After the working session, Mr. Franck Bolgiani toured the permanent exhibition space of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and experienced the museum's iMuseum VFA multimedia audio guide application.
