In order to improve the quality of implementation of resolutions of the Provincial People's Council, the supervisory activities of the Provincial People's Council have been continuously innovated and diversified in terms of implementation methods. Through supervisory activities, shortcomings and limitations in the implementation of legal regulations and resolutions of the Provincial People's Council have been identified, and solutions have been proposed for timely rectification. This helps ensure the fulfillment of the province's socio-economic development goals and important political tasks.

Based on closely following the resolutions issued by the Provincial People's Council and the actual situation in the locality, the Provincial People's Council delegation in Dong Trieu town has carried out many supervision activities on issues of concern to voters and people in the area, such as: management of public assets in the field of irrigation, implementation of legal regulations in the construction of social housing, use of facilities in the field of health care , etc.

Mr. Nguyen Van Cong, Secretary of the Dong Trieu Town Party Committee and Head of the Provincial People's Council Delegation in Dong Trieu Town, stated: Through monitoring activities, timely recommendations have been made to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Party Committee, and local authorities regarding existing problems and limitations in state management in several areas. This has contributed to the effective implementation of resolutions of the Provincial People's Council, as well as legal regulations in the area.

The delegation of the Provincial People's Council in Dong Trieu town is monitoring the implementation of legal regulations on the construction of social housing in the area.

Along with the oversight activities of the Provincial People's Council delegations in localities, the regular and unscheduled oversight and survey activities of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the committees of the Provincial People's Council have also been strengthened to meet the overall leadership, direction, and management needs of the province.

In the first six months of 2024, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and its committees conducted 3 thematic supervision sessions and 20 regular and unscheduled supervision and survey sessions, with many innovations and diverse implementation methods, promoting democracy, enhancing transparency and openness, and involving public opinion to objectively verify and evaluate the implementation of state laws; coordination and information sharing between Party inspection and supervision agencies and lower-level elected bodies, the Fatherland Front and political and social organizations... within the unified leadership mechanism of the Provincial Party Committee.

In particular, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council completed its supervision of the Provincial Tax Department, the Provincial Customs Department, and several localities and units regarding their compliance with legal regulations in the implementation of budget revenue collection tasks in the province during the 2021-2023 period. The supervisory team reviewed documents, files, and reports provided by the units and localities, and directly supervised the Provincial Tax Department, the Provincial Customs Department, the People's Committee of Ha Long City, and the People's Committee of Cam Pha City. A report was submitted to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, advising the Party Caucus of the Provincial People's Council to report to the Provincial Party Standing Committee before presenting to the Provincial People's Council at its mid-year regular session in 2024 on the achievements in budget revenue collection tasks in the province during the 2021-2025 period. The monitoring also identified four groups of shortcomings and limitations in the implementation of state budget revenue collection tasks in the area and proposed solutions to effectively exploit budget revenue collection to serve the province's political objectives.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council organized a supervision of the compliance with legal regulations in the implementation of revenue collection tasks by the People's Committee of Cam Pha City.

Furthermore, in order to fulfill its role as a representative of the people's will and aspirations, the supervisory role in resolving voter petitions is also given special attention. Timely recommendations and proposals are made to relevant agencies regarding solutions to improve the effectiveness of resolving voter petitions, thereby meeting the legitimate aspirations of voters.

With many effective and substantive innovations, the supervisory work has contributed to strengthening the trust of voters and the people in the activities of the People's Council, the local state power agency, positively impacting and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management activities in the province.
