Comments on the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress: Full faith in a strong and prosperous Vietnam

Towards the 14th National Party Congress, the draft documents have been attracting special attention from cadres, party members and people nationwide. Every contribution, no matter how small, is the crystallization of enthusiasm, intelligence and belief in the path of innovation and development that our Party is leading - a strong and prosperous Vietnam in the new period.

Scientific and technological breakthroughs - strategic vision

Mr. Phuong Dinh Anh, Deputy Chief of the Central Office for New Rural Development Coordination ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ) said that, regarding the viewpoints and goals of building and developing the country in the new period, the draft Political Report of the 13th Party Central Committee stated that after 40 years of renovation, the country's foundation, potential, position and international prestige have been raised, which is an important foundation for the country to rise up in the new era. The revolution in streamlining the organizational apparatus of the political system and strategic decisions are opening up historic opportunities, turning points for the strong development of the country in the new era. Among those decisions, Mr. Phuong Dinh Anh is impressed with Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

“The main development goals and targets for the 5-year period 2026 - 2030 have been clearly stated in the draft. I believe that to achieve these goals, it is necessary to promote breakthroughs in science and technology and innovation, especially in new rural development. This is not only a driving force to promote productivity, quality and efficiency in agricultural production but also opens up a comprehensive development direction for rural areas in Vietnam,” Mr. Phuong Dinh Anh shared.

Appreciating the Party's viewpoint of taking science and technology as the focus to renew traditional growth drivers, Mr. Phuong Dinh Anh affirmed that this demonstrates the Party's strategic vision in the era of digital economy and global integration. The strong application of high technology, digital transformation, green economy, and circular economy not only helps to innovate the growth model in depth but also contributes to promoting sustainable development and improving people's lives. This is a shift from growth based on "width" to development based on knowledge, innovation and high added value.

“The application of high technology helps farmers manage crops, plant varieties and livestock accurately, reduce costs and increase income. Digital transformation in management and operation helps local authorities to be transparent, fast and serve people better. In particular, e-commerce and digital platforms have become the “door” to help rural agricultural products reach further, connecting directly with domestic and foreign markets. It can be said that science and technology and digital transformation are the key to modernizing agriculture, developing a sustainable rural economy and improving people's lives - thereby realizing the goal of building a smart, civilized and prosperous new countryside,” Mr. Phuong Dinh Anh affirmed.

Comprehensive development of learners' capacity, physical strength and qualities

After discussing the contents of the documents with party members in the Party cell, party member Nguyen Thi Thu Thanh (teacher at Dich Vong Secondary School, Cau Giay Ward, Hanoi) said that the drafts were prepared seriously and elaborately, with many new points. The four summaries accurately reflected reality, had new points about the system of national values, culture, human standards and were drafted with high liveliness and synthesis. In particular, the Political Report reflected profound changes in the new development context of the world and the country, the new development foundation of the country after 40 years of renovation under the leadership of the Party.

As a teacher, Ms. Thu Thanh is pleased that the Party has set the goal of building a modern national education system on par with the region and the world in the content of the draft Political Report to be presented to the upcoming 14th Party Congress. In particular, the viewpoint of strongly shifting the education process from mainly equipping knowledge to comprehensively developing learners' capacity, physical strength and qualities, standardizing quality and strictly controlling output; valuing basic and fundamental science subjects; strengthening career orientation right from high school; focusing on streaming after middle school and high school.

With the goals set out in the draft political report, including: Harmonious development of education and training among regions; priority policies for investment in education development in mountainous areas, remote areas, border areas, islands, areas with ethnic minorities in particular difficulties, and policy subjects; thoroughly resolving the shortage of teachers, schools, classrooms and teaching equipment, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thanh said that these are issues that have always been of concern to society for many years.

“With the viewpoint that "people are the root", people are the subject, the center of the cause of innovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland; all policies and guidelines of the Party and State must truly originate from the needs, aspirations, rights and legitimate and legal interests of the people; taking happiness and satisfaction of the people as the measure and goal of struggle, I believe and expect that the goals, tasks and solutions set out in the draft document will be thoroughly discussed by delegates at the Congress to soon become reality”, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thanh shared.

The comments of party members, people and scientists on the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress demonstrate their enthusiasm and sense of responsibility for the cause of national construction and development, and for the leadership of the Party.
