Sergeant Cao Tien Dat (middle) always upholds the spirit of learning and training.

Since childhood, Dat has cherished the dream of wearing the green uniform of a soldier. In 2020, after graduating from high school, Dat passed the entrance exam to the Logistics Academy with a score of 27.9.

Passionate about scientific research, in 2022-2023, Dat carried out the project "Using numerical methods to calculate the deformation stress of some beam and frame structures in military construction works". The project achieved excellent results at the grassroots level and was selected to participate in the Youth Creative Award at the military level. Dat shared: "The load-bearing structure of a construction is always a key factor. Therefore, I chose to study the calculation of deformation stress of beams and bending frames - basic structures in military construction, applying modern numerical methods such as finite elements, differential, Euler...".

In the early days of his research, Dat encountered many difficulties due to the large amount of knowledge and limited specialized documents. He persistently went to the library to find books, calculated manually and then programmed on the computer to process the data. Thanks to his constant efforts and the guidance of his teachers, Dat's topic has now been widely applied throughout the Academy.

Not only is he a good student, Dat is also an exemplary member of the Youth Union and Party, actively participating in mass mobilization work, supporting his teammates, and volunteering to help people in disaster areas. In December 2024, after completing the final drill, Dat and his teammates marched more than 5km to Ta Han village (now in Nam Cuong commune, Thai Nguyen province) to coordinate with the forces of Military Region 1 to overcome the consequences of storms and floods and build houses to help people. Dat shared: "It was difficult and tiring, but I feel proud to be able to contribute to helping people overcome the disaster."

Lieutenant Colonel Ha Van Nguyen, Political Commissar of Battalion 2, commented: “Sergeant Cao Tien Dat is a shining example in studying, researching and training. He has a high sense of discipline, lives in harmony and always completes all tasks well.”

With outstanding achievements, for 4 consecutive years (from 2021 to 2024), Cao Tien Dat has achieved the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level, in 2024 he was awarded the title of Emulation Fighter of the whole army and was honored as a Promising Young Face of the whole army.
