On October 27, the Hanoi Department of Tourism said that the total number of visitors to the capital is estimated at 2.27 million, up 8.9% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international visitors reached 695 thousand, up 17.8%; domestic visitors reached 1.58 million, up 5.3%. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 9.93 trillion VND, up 11.9% over the same period last year.
In the first 10 months of 2025, Hanoi welcomed 28.22 million visitors, an increase of 21.9%; including 6.17 million international visitors, an increase of 23.6%. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 108.22 trillion VND, an increase of 19.8% over the same period in 2024. This is considered a positive signal, creating a foundation for the Capital's Tourism to strive to complete the year's target.
Along with the growth in the number of visitors and revenue, state management work continues to be implemented synchronously. The Department of Tourism has advised and issued many key documents and plans; promoted administrative procedure reform; conducted appraisal of documents for granting and changing tour guide cards; proactively participated in promotional activities inside and outside the city.
In October, the capital's tourism industry focused on developing new products, including night tourism at Soc Temple, community tourism models associated with cultural values, market linkage programs with localities, and many training and development activities to improve the quality of destinations.
Entering November 2025, Hanoi will implement a series of key tasks. Notably, the organization of the Hanoi Autumn Festival and the 2025 Ao Dai Festival, strengthening surveys and connecting tours and routes; continuing to implement the community tourism model, developing agricultural and rural tourism products associated with indigenous culture. In addition, building night tourism products at Soc Temple, improving the quality of destinations and continuing to perfect the relic management model are also key tasks.
Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang said that with the results achieved in October and a clear direction for November, Hanoi tourism industry continues to aim to maintain growth momentum, enhance the image of the capital - a "safe, friendly, quality and attractive" destination. Diversifying products, promoting digital transformation, strengthening regional connectivity and improving service quality are considered key factors for Hanoi to enhance its competitiveness and affirm its position as the leading tourism center in the country.
