Upon inspection, the hotel's kitchen area was found to be clean and meet all hygiene and food safety standards. The storage area was neatly and systematically organized. Hotel staff complied with regulations regarding daily food sample retention.

The hotel representative presented complete documentation proving the origin of the mooncakes from the supplier, including self-declaration of product quality and three-step food inspection records.

During the inspection, the team also collected several food samples from the hotel, including vegetables, vermicelli, rice noodles, cooking oil, and dishes, for rapid testing of formaldehyde, borax, food preservatives, rancidity, starch, etc. The test results showed that 100% of the samples met the standards.

After inspection, Deputy Head of the Hanoi Food Safety and Hygiene Department Nguyen Quang Trung assessed that the L7 West Lake Hanoi By Lotte hotel had strictly complied with regulations on ensuring food safety, facilities, food traceability, health checks, and training for the owner and staff.

To ensure food safety during the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival, the Hanoi People's Committee requests that departments, agencies, and localities conduct focused and targeted inspections, concentrating on violations related to quality and hygiene conditions in the production, business, and advertising of food products, with particular attention to establishments producing and selling mooncakes. Units and localities are required to strictly handle violating establishments according to regulations.

During inspections and audits, it is important to effectively disseminate knowledge and regulations on food safety, raising awareness and community consciousness regarding food safety.

From now until September 20, 2024, inspection teams will intensify checks on food safety at hotels of 3 stars and above in the city that produce mooncakes. The inspections will focus on raw materials, the entire production and processing process, personal hygiene, and the knowledge of mooncake producers.
