On March 14, the Office of the Hanoi People's Committee issued Notice No. 127/TB-VP on the Conclusion of Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen at the meeting on the investment plan to renovate and upgrade the dike system in Hanoi.

In the content of Notice No. 127, the leaders of Hanoi People's Committee agreed to assign the Department of Agriculture and Environment to select a consulting unit in accordance with regulations to survey, research, and develop an investment plan to renovate and upgrade the dike system in Hanoi.

The upgrading of the dike system must ensure safety in preventing natural disasters, traffic and urban landscape. This work will be implemented in the 5-year plan 2026 - 2030.

Hanoi City assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to develop and complete an investment plan to renovate and upgrade the dike system in Hanoi. Research, supplement, and report clearly and specifically the following contents: assessment of the current status of the dike system, current status of connections with dike lines in neighboring provinces.

In addition, there are the results of investment in renovating and upgrading the dike system in Hanoi in recent times; technical solutions; total investment, types of capital sources; priority arrangement; investment phases.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment proactively consulted the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ), experts, and relevant agencies during the implementation process. Completion time, in June 2025.
