Ha Tinh and Quang Tri exchange experiences in developing party members who are high school students.

The solutions and experiences shared at the seminar will help Ha Tinh and Quang Tri provinces to further improve the work of developing Party members among high school students.

On the afternoon of August 28th, the Organizing Committee of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, in coordination with the Organizing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, held a seminar to exchange experiences on the work of developing Party members among high school students.

Representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, various departments, localities, and high schools in Quang Tri and Ha Tinh provinces also attended.

The seminar was chaired by Phan Văn Phụng, Head of the Organization Department of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, and Trần Đình Trung, Deputy Head of the Organization Department of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee.

At the seminar, delegates heard about solutions and results in developing Party members among high school students in Ha Tinh province.

Over the past period, Ha Tinh province has implemented a comprehensive set of solutions to develop Party members among high school students. Accordingly, at the preliminary and final review conferences on Party building work, and the conferences of the Party building organization sector, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has directed the work of developing Party members according to the set targets, ensuring the quality of admissions, and focusing on the large potential of the youth union members, students, and university students.

Vice Principal of Cam Xuyen High School, Vo Ta Tinh: Every year, the school issues a thematic resolution on developing Party members, thanks to which, each school year, the school is able to admit 12-18 students into the Party.

The Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Department has collaborated with Ha Tinh Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station to produce reports and articles on Party development work in general and Party development among high school students in particular, aiming to raise awareness and pride among students in joining the Party ranks.

Principal Doan Trong Binh of Ly Chinh Thang High School (Huong Son) shared some solutions for developing Party members among the school's students.

From the beginning of the school year, grassroots Party organizations have assigned schools to survey and identify potential candidates, develop plans, assign Party members and youth organizations to monitor, launch, and nurture them through school movements, gradually defining goals and ideals for students to strive for and cultivate. Afterward, they select and train students who meet the standards and conditions to attend Party membership orientation classes.

Principal of Dong Ha High School (Quang Tri), Ta Thi Thu Hien: Although the school has implemented many solutions to identify and nurture outstanding students, the work of developing Party members in the school still faces many difficulties, with only 1-2 new members admitted each year.

As a result, in recent years, the number of outstanding high school students sent to attend Party membership orientation classes has averaged over 1,000 per year, and the number of students admitted to the Party has been steadily increasing.

Specifically: in 2020, 280 students were admitted out of a total of 1,428 new party members (accounting for 19.6%); in 2021, 417 students were admitted out of a total of 1,948 new party members (accounting for 21.4%); in 2022, 477 students were admitted out of a total of 2,101 new party members (accounting for 22.7%); and in the first six months of 2023, 564 students were admitted out of a total of 1,259 party members (accounting for 44.79%).

Ho Ngoc Anh, Deputy Head of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, highlighted some difficulties and the current situation regarding the development of Party members among high school students in the province.

Party members recruited in schools have demonstrated pioneering and exemplary qualities, consistently cultivating moral character and a healthy lifestyle, achieving many outstanding accomplishments in their studies and training; always contributing and growing in all aspects.

Despite the achievements, the work of recruiting Party members among students in Ha Tinh province still faces limitations and difficulties such as: although the development of Party members among students has shown positive progress, with each year surpassing the previous one, the rate compared to the potential is still not high; the Youth Union organizations in schools have not yet recognized the importance of Party development among students, and lack initiative in advising the Party committees...

This seminar provides an opportunity for localities, especially high schools in the province, to gain more experience and appropriate solutions to further improve the work of developing Party members in schools.

Hopefully, in the future, Ha Tinh and Quang Tri will continue to have more exchanges related to the work of developing Party members, so that Quang Tri can gain more perspectives and effective methods, gradually improving the quality of Party member development in both quantity and quality.

At the seminar, delegates from the two provinces also focused on exchanging experiences and proposing solutions for developing Party members among high school students, such as: strengthening propaganda and political and ideological education, creating a strong shift in the awareness and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, and Party members in Party branches regarding the development of Party members and improving the quality of Party members among students; promptly identifying and nurturing outstanding students from the 10th grade onwards...

Continue to focus on directing the work of developing new Party members, ensuring both quantity and quality, with an emphasis on developing Party members among students through solutions such as: thoroughly understanding the viewpoints and principles of Party building, closely adhering to the requirements of political tasks and the characteristics of students to determine the program and plan for developing Party members among students; innovating the content and programs of Party awareness training and political theory training for newly admitted Party members to ensure practicality, quality, and effectiveness...

Concluding the seminar, Deputy Head of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, Tran Dinh Trung, emphasized that through the seminar, delegates from both provinces had the opportunity to share experiences and learn from each other's approaches. He urged the Party committees and leaders of the high schools participating in the seminar to continue studying and absorbing all the exchanges, discussions, best practices, and lessons learned from the localities, agencies, and units of the neighboring province. He stressed the importance of selectively applying these to the practical work of Party activities, especially the recruitment and development of Party members within their respective units in the future, ensuring a synchronized, effective, regular, and continuous approach.
