Ranking changes with HAGL
Round 6 of V-League 2024 - 2025 kicked off on the evening of November 1, with the match at Lach Tray Stadium between Hai Phong Club and Nam Dinh Club.
With home advantage, the home team Hai Phong played better in the first minutes, but the away team Nam Dinh played sharply, making the most of the opportunities they had. Two goals from Lucas Alves and Hendrio Araujo helped Nam Dinh FC lead 2-0 in the first half. Despite playing hard in the second half, coach Chu Dinh Nghiem's team could only find 1 equalizer.
HAGL temporarily dropped to fourth place
Defeating Hai Phong 2-1, Nam Dinh FC temporarily rose to third place with 10 points after 6 matches. This position is held by HAGL. Coach Vu Tien Thanh's team temporarily dropped 1 place to fourth place. Meanwhile, the top position still belongs to Thanh Hoa FC with 10 points. The Cong Viettel FC also has 10 points, but is ranked second due to a lower goal difference.
Tomorrow afternoon (November 2), HAGL will compete with Binh Duong Club at Go Dau Stadium. The mountain town team is maintaining an unbeaten streak with 2 wins and 3 draws after 5 rounds, earning 9 points. This is the first time in many years that HAGL has been unbeaten in the first 5 rounds.
Meanwhile, Binh Duong FC has dropped to 8th place with 7 points after 5 matches. Coach Hoang Anh Tuan's team has only won 1 of the last 5 matches, including 2 consecutive away defeats against Hanoi Police FC and Viettel The Cong FC.
However, Binh Duong FC has a pretty good record at home, having not lost since the beginning of the tournament. Go Dau Stadium will be the fulcrum for coach Hoang Anh Tuan's Binh Duong to overcome difficulties.
If HAGL wins all 3 points, coach Vu Tien Thanh and his team will certainly return to the top 3, and may even take the top spot if Thanh Hoa and The Cong Viettel do not win in this round.
