Vice Chairman of Cat Hai District People's Committee (Hai Phong City) Nguyen Quang Vinh has just sent an official dispatch to organizations and individuals doing tourism business in the district to support tourists during the time affected by storm No. 3.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Cat Hai district requested and requested organizations and individuals doing tourism business to have plans to ensure safety; not to organize recreational activities, entertainment programs for tourists; not to organize for guests to stay in areas and locations affected by storms, with the risk of landslides...

Cat Hai District People's Committee also requested organizations and individuals providing tourism services to support and reduce maximum service prices for guests, and encourage a 50% reduction in room service at accommodation establishments in case tourists are stranded and cannot return to the mainland in time due to the impact of storm No. 3.

In Cat Hai district, all sightseeing, entertainment, and swimming activities in the bays of Cat Ba archipelago are temporarily suspended.

On the same morning, according to the Command Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Hai Phong City, the Command of the Hai Phong City Border Guard directed units to use the search and rescue information system of the border guard to coordinate with the families of ship owners, captains, and owners of aquaculture cages to notify and guide fishermen and vehicle owners in the area, especially offshore fishing vessels, to grasp the developments of the storm to proactively move and avoid it.

The City Military Command has prepared forces and means, ready to handle any situations that may arise.

Currently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hai Phong City has urged localities and units to organize the protection of agricultural and aquatic production; inspect and reinforce dike and irrigation works; strengthen dike inspection, prepare human resources, materials and means for dike protection, promptly handle dike incidents from the first hour, ensuring safety for dike routes.

Bach Long Vi district is ready to mobilize forces to reinforce houses and warehouses; to propagate and mobilize means of transport to the mainland to avoid the storm. Cat Hai district has directed and arranged for boats to be anchored in safe shelters; has mobilized 100% of people on aquaculture rafts to move to safe shelters.

The districts of Thuy Nguyen, Vinh Bao, Tien Lang, An Duong, An Lao, Kien An, Kien Thuy, Hong Bang, Le Chan, Ngo Quyen, Hai An, Do Son, and Duong Kinh have directed communes, wards, and affiliated units to inspect and prepare disaster response plans, evacuate people, and handle locations where flooding may occur in the area.

According to the latest information from the Hai Phong Border Guard Command, there are currently more than 1,700 ships and boats anchored at the ports; and no ships are operating in dangerous sea areas due to the storm.
