Tens of thousands of tourists flock to Cua Lo on the opening night of the 2024 summer festival

Nghe An Cua Lo organizes a series of events to attract tourists on the occasion of April 30 and the summer tourist season, with the opening night on April 18 attracting tens of thousands of attendees.

The People's Committee of Cua Lo town said that from April 19 to April 30, Cua Lo beach will host many activities to serve tourists during the tourist season such as sports tournaments, fishing festivals, music and street festivals every Saturday, and art programs about the Vi Giam region. The street music program will take place throughout the summer.

The opening night of the 2024 tourist season with the theme "Cua Lo - Aspiration and Shine" on the evening of April 18 attracted tens of thousands of tourists to Binh Minh Square.

After the opening ceremony, visitors enjoyed art programs with many dances and folk songs with Nghe An influences, along with a drone performance depicting the characteristics of the sea.

According to Vice Chairman of Nghe An province, Bui Dinh Long, Nghe An is a land of Lao wind and white sand, fortunately compensated by a charming landscape, with mountains, forests, rivers and seas blending together to create a picturesque natural beauty.

Mr. Long commented that Cua Lo emerged full of vitality and dynamism of an urban area considered as the "green pearl" of Nghe An. "Coming here, tourists can immerse themselves in the blue sea, white sand, humanity and rich history," said Mr. Long.

At the end of the opening night, visitors were able to admire a colorful low-altitude fireworks display. Ms. Ha Phuong, 37 years old, a tourist from Hanoi, shared that her family of four was "full of eyes" with the music and fireworks performance. "The whole family will go back to the hotel to sleep, wake up early tomorrow morning to watch the beautiful sunrise on Cua Lo beach, and take impressive photos as souvenirs," she said.

Cua Lo is the smallest town in the country, located in the southeast of Nghe An province, with an area of ​​over 27.8 km2, more than 10 km from Vinh city. Cua Lo's terrain is relatively flat, with many small mountains with islands and peninsulas creating interesting landscapes. This area has a gentle beach, clear blue water, and is an attractive resort in the summer.

In 2024, Cua Lo town aims to welcome 4.15 million tourists, 1.45 million overnight guests, and tourism service revenue of VND4,200 billion, an increase of 15-18% over last year.
