Airlines offer more than 7 million seats, 'cooling off' peak summer flight tickets

During the peak period, airlines will operate nearly 500 flights per day, an increase of approximately 30% compared to normal. The busiest domestic routes are those connecting famous tourist destinations, such as between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Da Nang, Con Dao, Hue, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, etc. On international routes, the destinations with the most flights are Japan, South Korea and Thailand.

Vietnam Airlines Group has recorded a rapid increase in the number of bookings, with many flights during the peak summer season already having more than half of their seats filled. Airlines recommend passengers book tickets earlier than their scheduled departure date to have more flight options, as well as increase the possibility of purchasing attractive fares.

At the same time, passengers should use self-check-in methods before the flight to save time such as: automatic check-in, via website, mobile application (mobile check-in), telephone (telephone check-in) or at self-check-in counters (kiosk check-in).

According to the survey, many flights to tourist destinations during the summer have increased in price quite high. For example, from Hanoi to Phu Quoc, the ticket price is fixed at nearly 3.6 million VND/round trip ticket of Vietjet is the lowest, to the highest of Vietnam Airlines - more than 6.5 million VND.

Families flying from Hanoi to Nha Trang also had to pay exorbitant ticket prices. The flight departing on June 16 and returning on June 20, Vietjet's cheapest ticket increased to more than 3.7 million VND/round trip; Pacific Airlines continued to be on par with them, with prices of about 4.5 million VND for both the outbound and return flights. Vietnam Airlines flights at that time are now about 5.5 million VND.

There are very few flights from Hanoi to Quy Nhon in mid-July. Bamboo Airways tickets range from 4.6 - 5.3 million VND/round trip ticket; Vietnam Airlines from 5.5 - 5.8 million VND/round trip ticket. From Hanoi to Con Dao from now until the end of August, there are only Bamboo Airways flights every day with prices ranging from 4.5 - 5.6 million VND/round trip ticket...
