Thousands of monks, nuns and Buddhists attend Buddha's Birthday in Dong Nai

The letter emphasized that this year's Vesak celebration takes place at a time when people from all walks of life are enthusiastically competing to achieve achievements to celebrate important historical and political events of the country and nation such as: the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025); the 4th time Vietnam hosts the United Nations Vesak. In particular, towards the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). Sharing in the common joy, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province respectfully wish the Venerable Monks, Venerable Nuns, Venerable Nuns, Venerable Monks, Venerable Nuns and Buddhist followers of the province a joyful, united, and spiritually-filled Buddha's Birthday and many achievements in Buddhist activities.

The Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee respectfully acknowledge and commend the active participation of the people, of the Venerable Monks, Venerable Nuns, Venerable Nuns, Venerable Monks, and Buddhist followers in the prosperous and happy development of the province. At the same time, we believe that in the coming time, the Venerable Monks, Venerable Nuns, Venerable Monks, Venerable Nuns, Venerable Monks, and Buddhist followers will join hands and steadfastly adhere to the motto "Dharma - Nation - Socialism"; promote the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of national solidarity, continue the tradition of "Protecting the country, bringing peace to the people", well implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, actively responding to patriotic emulation movements, joining hands and wholeheartedly building the homeland of Dong Nai to develop comprehensively, sustainably, and prosperously.

At the ceremony, Deputy Supreme Patriarch, President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Thich Thien Nhon; Most Venerable Thich Nhat Quang, Standing Member of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, along with members of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province, monks, nuns and Buddhists listened to the Buddha's Birthday Message of the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha on the occasion of the 2569th Buddha's Birthday.

Also in the program, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province performed traditional rituals such as: offering flowers, offering incense, chanting Buddha's name... At the same time, 40 flower-lined parade cars celebrating Buddha's birthday organized by the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province, district, and city also paraded through the stage and some traffic routes so that people could celebrate Buddha's birthday together.

Previously, at the Provincial Association Pagoda (Bien Hoa city), the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province held a Buddha bathing ceremony, praying for national peace and prosperity.
