VTC NewsVTC News12/10/2024

The only friendly match of the Vietnam team during the FIFA Days in October 2024 is the match against India. Facing a weak opponent, the Vietnam team easily controlled the ball and had a good game.

The first dangerous chance belonged to the away team. Farukh surpassed Thanh Binh and fired a dangerous shot from afar, but Nguyen Filip successfully blocked it.

Que Ngoc Hai missed a penalty kick.

In the 11th minute, an unexpected opportunity came to the Vietnamese team. Rahul Bheke fouled Vi Hao in the penalty area, resulting in a penalty for the Vietnamese team. Que Ngoc Hai failed to take the ball, and the Indian team's goalkeeper caught it. This situation helped India play more excitedly.

The Vietnam team encountered many difficulties.

The Vietnam team encountered many difficulties.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese team's attacks mainly came from the right wing, where To Van Vu and Nguyen Van Toan appeared. The striker born in 1996 continuously tormented the opponent's defense with many tricky dribbles. Just a few minutes in the middle of the first half, Van Toan had 2 very dangerous shots and 1 remarkable pass. Hoang Duc also had the right to regret. It was Van Toan who created the pass for him to shoot from close range but the ball went wide.

After many efforts, the goal came to the Vietnamese team. In the 38th minute, Que Ngoc Hai passed to Vi Hao to shoot powerfully, the ball bounced off the Indian goalkeeper's hand and Hoang Duc rushed in to score the opening goal of the match. The first half passed without any more goals being scored.

In the second half, the Indian team suddenly pushed up their formation and this way of playing caused some trouble for the Vietnamese team. In the 53rd minute, Farukh passed Que Ngoc Hai and skillfully finished over Nguyen Filip's head to score a goal for India.

This mistake and the missed penalty caused Que Ngoc Hai to have psychological problems. He made two more mistakes but Nguyen Filip was lucky not to concede a goal.

Things only improved when coach Kim Sang-sik adjusted his tactics. Quang Hai and Van Quyet appeared on the field and the Vietnamese team played much better. Quang Hai alone had 3 dangerous chances and 2 of them came from Van Quyet. Unfortunately, the goals did not come and the Vietnamese team had to accept a 1-1 draw.

Result: Vietnam 1-1 India.
