(Dan Tri) - Being given an old bicycle, the old man's action of giving an egg and a kilo of rice to a stranger is a very simple image that touches people's hearts.

Recently, a clip recording the image of a toothless, hunched-backed old man walking into a pharmacy to give a pharmacist a kilo of rice has attracted the attention of the online community.

In the clip, the old man said: "It's almost Tet, new rice." As he spoke, he placed a small bag of rice on the glass cabinet, then clasped his hands behind his back and slowly walked away.

Even though the recipient was confused and refused, saying it was not difficult, the old man was still determined to give the rice.

This clip was recorded by Ms. Vu Thi Hong Nhung. She emotionally wrote: "Just give and you will receive accordingly. Money may be lacking but feelings cannot be measured."

It turns out, this is not the first time the old man has brought gifts from his hometown to the female pharmacist at the pharmacy counter.

2 years ago, Ms. Nhung rented a store to open a pharmacy in Hiep Hoa ( Bac Giang ). Ms. Nhung is open-minded and greets her superiors politely.

She saw an old man passing by on his bicycle to buy food. The pharmacist quickly greeted him. The old man responded openly.

Later, Ms. Nhung learned that the family lived in Soc Son ( Hanoi ). This is an area bordering Bac Giang province, only 1-2km away.

Because there is a big market in this area, the old man often goes there to shop. Once, he shared that he was going to buy milk for his grandmother. Ms. Nhung wanted to give him a carton of milk.

However, the old man refused to take that much, only accepting a few boxes. It turned out that the old woman had passed away and the old man had dementia so he kept mentioning the story of buying milk.

At the end of last year, an old man walked into a pharmacy and asked Ms. Nhung to buy him a bicycle. His voice was calm: "Someone took my bicycles, please see if anyone has one and buy one for me."

Despite his old age, he still calls himself "younger brother" and "older sister". Seeing this, the woman remembered that she had an old unused bicycle at home.

After fixing it up, she gave it back to him so he could use it as a means of transportation. After receiving the bike, he insisted on paying her back. Ms. Nhung also refused to take the money he gave her.

Her affection for her grandfather came from the bottom of her heart. She wanted to give him money and medicine, but he refused. Later, she learned that he still lived with his children and grandchildren, so she avoided interfering in his private life.

After receiving a bicycle, a clean vegetable garden, or a chicken laying an egg, the old man still remembered to give it to the female pharmacist at the pharmacy. With just a few simple gifts like a bunch of vegetables and a kilo of rice, Ms. Nhung could feel the old man's kind heart.

From such incidents, the female pharmacist always reminds herself to live with her heart, sincerely love and care for those around her. She gives without expecting anything in return. The daily actions that are in accordance with her conscience make her feel at peace and have a peaceful life.
