HCMC FOODEX 2025 – A bridge for trade, elevating the Vietnamese food industry

At the press conference on March 18, the representative of the Organizing Committee said that HCMC FOODEX 2025 will officially take place from April 16 to 19, 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. The event is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Food and Foodstuff Association and related units.

The food industry plays an important role in the Vietnamese economy , especially in Ho Chi Minh City – the largest processing industrial center in the country. In an increasingly competitive market, the need to innovate technology, improve product quality and expand export markets has become a vital factor for businesses.

HCMC FOODEX 2025 is not only a place to display diverse food products from agricultural products, processed foods to spices, beverages, machinery and food processing technology, but also an important bridge to help businesses connect with domestic and international partners.

The exhibition brings together more than 350 exhibitors from Korea, Japan, China, Malaysia and Vietnam. At the same time, more than 100 international buyers from 15 countries have confirmed their participation in the business networking sessions.

The highlight of this year’s exhibition is the presence of major buyers from the Horeca channel (Hotel – Restaurant – Catering), promising to open up many cooperation opportunities for food supply businesses. During the 4 days of the event, the Organizing Committee plans to set up more than 1,000 trade connection meetings, ensuring the optimization of trade needs and market expansion.

In addition to exhibition and business networking activities, HCMC FOODEX 2025 also organizes a series of specialized seminars with the participation of experts, representatives of management agencies and businesses in the food and foodstuff sector. Seminar topics focus on the trend of developing green and sustainable food, applying digital technology in production and trade, meeting international export standards such as Halal, HACCP, GlobalGAP...

The Business Connection Program took place throughout the event, creating opportunities for businesses to directly contact leading distributors such as AEON, Lotte, Central Retail, SATRA, Saigon CORP... to help expand domestic consumption and export channels.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also coordinates with associations and businesses to organize field surveys, factory visits, and technology demonstrations, helping businesses update new trends and improve their competitiveness.

HCMC FOODEX 2025 also has the participation of many big brands in the food industry such as: Cholimex Food Joint Stock Company, Saigon Agricultural Corporation, Binh Tay Food Joint Stock Company, Long Son Joint Stock Company, Bao Hung International Joint Stock Company, Ba Vi Milk Joint Stock Company... and units providing packaging, packaging technology, warehousing, wastewater treatment contributing to promoting the comprehensive development of the Vietnamese food industry in a modern and sustainable direction.

One of the highlights of HCMC FOODEX 2025 is the Master Chef of Foodex 2025 competition with the theme “Quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine”. The competition brings together famous chefs from Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the United States, etc., along with a team of prestigious judges. This is not only a playground for professional chefs but also an opportunity to promote Vietnamese cuisine to the world.
