The People's Council of Nghe An province dismissed and elected additional members to the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Comrades Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, presided over the meeting.

Attending the session were: Comrade Nguyen Van Thong – Former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Vo Trong Hai – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, agencies and delegates of the 18th Provincial People's Council; and leaders of the People's Councils and People's Committees of some communes and wards.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai presented the Proposal for the election of an additional Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

At the session, based on the proposal from the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Council elected Mr. Thai Van Thanh – Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training – as an additional Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Thanh An presented the Provincial People's Committee's proposal regarding the dismissal and supplementary election of members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Based on the proposal from the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Council has approved the removal of Mr. Chu The Huyen, a member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and former Chief Inspector of Nghe An province, from his position as a member of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Previously, Comrade Chu The Huyen was assigned and appointed to the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Muong Xen Commune for the term 2025-2030, according to Decision No. 286-QD/TU dated December 5, 2025, of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.

Provincial People's Council delegates voted to elect an additional Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and an additional member of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Based on the proposal from the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Council also elected Mr. Vu Tuan Dung as an additional member of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. Previously, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 3958/QD-UBND dated December 5, 2025, transferring and appointing Mr. Vu Tuan Dung - Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Hop Minh commune - to the position of Chief Inspector of Nghe An province for a term of 5 years.
