No more queuing up overnight to buy iPhone 17 in Vietnam

(Dan Tri) - Speaking with Dan Tri reporters, representatives of many major retail systems confirmed that the iPhone 17 product line will officially be on shelves and delivered to users in the Vietnamese market from 8:00 a.m. on September 19.

Currently, retailers have opened registration for users to receive information about the iPhone 17 product line. By 7 PM on September 12th, customers will be able to pre-order the product.

This is the first year that the Vietnamese market has opened early sales of iPhones, along with other key markets of the company such as the US, Singapore, Japan, etc. At the same time, users no longer have to wait in line overnight to receive their devices.

"The iPhone 17 generation has been strongly upgraded in terms of screen, processor chip, camera system and more optimized battery. We are taking careful preparations so that users can own genuine iPhone 17 from mid-September to October," said a representative of theFPT Shop system.

In previous years, the Vietnamese market opened iPhone sales 1-2 weeks later than many other countries. In order to deliver the devices to users early, dealers chose to deliver at midnight on the opening day. This made customers wait from the night before and queue up all night to receive the device.

This year, Apple upgraded Vietnam to a Tier 1 market. As a result, the company has tightened its requirements for retailers.

All authorized dealers will need to comply with Apple's regulations and deliver at the same time. This regulation also makes the situation of users having to queue up to receive iPhone overnight disappear in Vietnam.

iPhone 17 Pro Max will still be the best seller

Apple's early release of the iPhone 17 is good news for many iPhone enthusiasts in the country. Not only that, this is also considered the end of hand-carried iPhones in Vietnam.

"We expect a surge in purchasing power as more and more customers prioritize genuine products to ensure after-sales service. Users no longer have a reason to seek out imported goods or queue abroad to buy devices," said Mr. Nguyen Minh Khue, representative of the Viettel Store system.

According to predictions from retailers, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is likely to continue leading sales in the Vietnamese market during the initial launch period. This is a characteristic consumer habit of Vietnamese people for many years.

A representative of the Mobile World system said that based on data from the last 3 iPhone seasons, most Vietnamese customers are interested in the Pro and Pro Max product lines. It is expected that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will continue to lead sales this year.

"Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 17 version will become the option for customers who want to upgrade from older devices like the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13," a representative from Di Dong Viet shared.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max has a series of improvements in design, camera, configuration and battery. The device also integrates the latest technologies such as Bluetooth 6 and WiFi 7. In Vietnam, the network operator FPT has supported WiFi 7 modem so that users can take full advantage of the wireless connection performance of new devices.

This year, the selling price of the iPhone 17 product line has been adjusted to increase sharply compared to previous generations.

Accordingly, the starting price for the iPhone 17 is 25 million VND for the 256GB version. The iPhone 17 Air is priced at 32 million VND for the 256GB version, 38.5 million VND for the 512GB version, and 45 million VND for the 1TB version.

The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max start at 35 million VND and 38 million VND respectively. This year, the iPhone 17 Pro Max also features a 2TB storage option for the first time, priced at 64 million VND. This is also the highest price Apple has ever set for an iPhone.
