England have not been convincing in their recent Euro 2024 campaign. They were lackluster in the group stage, then struggled to overcome Slovakia in the round of 16. Therefore, before the quarter-final match against Switzerland at 11:00 p.m. tonight, the "Three Lions" face many questions about their squad.
However, coach Gareth Southgate wisely avoided all these questions, in the press conference before the quarter-final match.

Mr. Southgate said: "I cannot say who I will use for the positions on the field, especially the left-back position. I only confirm that our left-back from the beginning of the tournament, Kieran Trippier, is still playing very well."
"He has had classy performances, creating good links between positions on the pitch. Trippier also helps me communicate with other players when playing," added coach Southgate.
Southgate also did not confirm whether he would use Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden behind striker Harry Kane as in previous matches. The England coach simply said: "I am proud of what my players have done. I am proud of my team."

"England did not come here and stop at the quarter-finals, we want to find the title that English football is still lacking," coach Gareth Southgate affirmed.
Meanwhile, Swiss coach Murat Yakin commented: "We are in good spirits after defeating Italy. That victory created good energy for the whole Swiss team."
"However, I also imagine that England will study how we beat Italy, to apply to the upcoming match. On our side, the Swiss team also saw gaps in the England team that could be exploited," said the Swiss coach.
