HMD launches Fusion X1 for teens

The HMD Fusion X1 comes with the Xplora parental control platform to help manage your teen's activity. Designed to limit distractions, the device comes with School Mode to restrict certain apps during school hours.

Weighing 202 grams, the device is mostly made of plastic to keep costs down. Furthermore, the product is splash-proof with an IP54 rating, making it durable for everyday use.

In addition to the power of the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, HMD Fusion X1 also offers 2 memory configuration options of 6/128 GB or 8/256 GB, with the ability to expand via microSD card. The device is equipped with a 6.56-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1,612 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, combined with a maximum brightness of up to 600 nits. The 5,000 mAh battery on the product supports 33W fast charging, combined with a 3.5 mm audio jack and NFC connectivity technology.

On the back of the phone is a 1,080p main camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor on the back, while the front camera has a 50MP resolution. The Fusion X1 runs on Android 14, promising 2 major updates and 3 years of security updates.

In particular, Fusion X1 supports HMD's Fusion accessory platform with 6 smart pins on the back allowing users to connect to a variety of accessories such as ring lights, gaming controllers and backup batteries.

In addition, HMD also introduced a special edition called Barca Fusion designed specifically for fans of the Barcelona football club. This version not only has a special case with the player's signature that glows under UV light, but also comes with a collection of images, themed sounds and some pre-installed FC Barcelona applications.
