Cash support for people affected by floods in Cao Bang

On December 2, the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) coordinated with CRS (USA) in Vietnam and the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Cao Bang province to organize a cash distribution to households affected by storms and floods in Hoa An commune.

Accordingly, a total of 1.04 billion VND was given directly to 274 households, to help people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives after natural disasters.

A representative of the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention said that this is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the support of functional agencies and international organizations with people in areas affected by natural disasters, contributing to overcoming difficulties, stabilizing life, and gradually rebuilding after natural disasters.

Previously, on November 29, the Department also coordinated with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province to provide emergency support to people affected by storm No. 10 (Bualoi). The support package included 514 cash gifts, which were handed directly to households in 3 communes: Cam Binh, Cam Due and Cam Lac - localities that were heavily affected in terms of property after the storm.
