Nearly a week after being crowned Miss International 2024 , Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy has returned to her hometown.
During a press conference on the afternoon of November 18th, the beauty queen was moved by the warm welcome she received from Vietnamese audiences. She was happy to bring home the Miss International crown for the first time for her country.
Thanh Thủy returned to Vietnam after being crowned Miss International 2024.
Speaking about her victory, Thanh Thủy felt she fully deserved it because it was the result of her own efforts after a period of training. The beauty queen considered all the contestants in the competition as strong rivals and did not compare herself to anyone.
"In a competition, I feel that each representative has their own unique beauty and strengths. The most important thing is that I need to focus on improving myself. The Miss International organizers always advise contestants to always be themselves and express their individuality. That's something I've kept in mind throughout this competition."
"Some people might find me a bit mischievous and playful, which doesn't quite fit the competition's criteria, but that's just my personality. However, because of that, the organizers appreciate and are grateful that I always dare to express myself," the beauty queen shared.
Before the competition, Thanh Thuy was predicted to win by a famous beauty website. This made the beauty queen happy but also put pressure on her. However, it motivated her to try harder each day of the competition. She felt happy and fortunate to always receive the support of the audience.
Responding to questions about her outstanding performance in the final round, Thanh Thủy shared that she had prepared and researched extensively about education . She knew that the Miss International organization paid close attention to this field, so she had diligently studied and learned about it.
Miss Thanh Thuy, along with representatives from the Miss International organizing committee, visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan.
In recent days, Miss Thanh Thuy has stayed in Japan to participate in several activities after winning the Miss International title. She and the other international runners-up participated in a media tour, visited the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) headquarters, met with the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, and interacted with students in Nagoya city…
In the coming time, Thanh Thủy will begin several projects in Vietnam. The beauty queen wants to try to connect and promote cultural exchange between Japan and Vietnam. She will undertake trips to connect students and meet Vietnamese people in Japan... During her one-year term, Thanh Thủy wants to do as much as possible to strengthen the relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
Regarding community projects, she will continue to implement the project on providing clean water to people in saline-affected areas. In addition, Thanh Thủy will expand the system to more locations and continue to maintain it in the future, building it into a sustainable project.
In addition, Thanh Thuy will also support the people in improving their quality of life, organizing medical check-ups, and awarding scholarships to disadvantaged children...
In the coming days, Thanh Thuy will return to Da Nang - her hometown. She wants to visit her school, friends, and teachers on the occasion of November 20th (Vietnamese Teachers' Day). After that, the beauty queen will also have other plans to coordinate with the Da Nang Youth Union.

Stephen Inventor-Díaz, Director of Communications for Miss International, also came to Vietnam with Thanh Thủy on this occasion. He commented that Miss Thanh Thủy possesses all the qualities to become Miss International 2024. He emphasized that the victory of the Vietnamese representative was very convincing.
"Before being crowned, Thanh Thủy was already Miss Vietnam 2022. As a former Miss Vietnam, she is conscious of her actions and always maintains a polished image when participating in beauty pageants. She has also spent time working on many meaningful community projects. The fact that she has established herself and gained a certain level of confidence when entering the competition is the decisive factor in her victory," he said.
He stated that he will be accompanying the beauty queen in her upcoming projects in Vietnam. Afterwards, Thanh Thủy will undertake projects abroad to fulfill her mission as Miss International and promote the organization.

Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy was born in 2002 in Da Nang. The beauty queen is 1.76m tall. Before being crowned Miss International 2024, she won the Miss Vietnam 2022 title.
Thanh Thủy previously won the title of Miss University of Foreign Languages (Da Nang University in 2021), was the first runner-up in the Da Nang Elegant Student Contest in 2021, and was one of 36 students participating in a student exchange program at Ubon Ratchathani University, Thailand.
Thanh Thủy is currently studying at two universities: the University of Foreign Languages (Da Nang University) and Greenwich University Vietnam. She has basic communication skills in English and Korean.
During her two-year reign as Miss Vietnam, Thanh Thủy actively participated in artistic activities as well as community service, taking part in many projects aimed at helping those in need.
