On the afternoon of July 7, the top 3 Miss Vietnam 2024 including Miss Ha Truc Linh, 1st runner-up Chau Anh and 2nd runner-up Van Nhi had an exchange with teachers and students at Ho Chi Minh City University of Finance and Marketing.
During an interaction with the press and students, Miss Ha Truc Linh revealed for the first time her childhood dream. "I dreamed of becoming an architect or designer, but I felt that I could hardly compete with my male friends. Looking back, I realized that I had my own talents and personality, so I chose my current major - marketing," she shared.

At Miss Vietnam 2024, Truc Linh admitted that she was initially self-conscious because she felt she did not have enough skills, but thanks to the support from friends and relatives, she decided to register.
"I was most afraid of the application round. But when I put pen to paper, I realized it was a journey of effort. When entering the competition rounds, I tried my best but still did not think I would win the highest position. I always had the mindset to learn and experience. I am very happy to have my family's support. That is the great motivation that helped me get to where I am today," Ha Truc Linh shared.
She also encourages young people to confidently experience and challenge themselves in new things. After each journey, each person will feel valuable lessons.
Answering reporters' questions about the school's Board of Directors' support for Ha Truc Linh's studies after she won the title of Miss, Dr. Cao Tan Huy - Party Secretary of the University of Finance and Marketing, said that the school will pay attention and support according to regulations and rules.
Mr. Huy emphasized that on-time graduation is impossible due to the tight schedule during the term, but the school will help and support according to the regulations and rules of the Ministry of Education and Training in a clear and transparent manner.
Speaking at the event, journalist Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee emphasized that the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest ended successfully.
"The organizing committee hopes to continue to receive support from the school, teachers, family and student community to support Truc Linh in fulfilling her mission as a beauty queen - not only a beauty, but also an inspiration, connecting the community, and spreading positive values to society," the journalist shared.
Journalist Phung Cong Suong affirmed: "Miss Vietnam is not simply a beauty contest. This is a journey to find girls who possess physical beauty, intelligence and soul."
According to him, the first and foremost factor is natural beauty. The contest firmly says no to cosmetic surgery. Many profiles, including runners-up from other beauty pageants, were eliminated in the preliminary round because they did not meet this criterion. The contest organizers believe that genuine beauty is the sustainable foundation for long-term shine.
In addition to their appearance, the contestants’ intelligence and ability to respond were also highly appreciated. In the final round, Mr. Suong said that the Top 3 demonstrated their ability to handle situations quickly, confidently and inspiringly when asked historical questions or social issues without prior notice. In addition, the girls also showed politeness, humility but convincingly - something that not all contestants can do.
During more than 6 months of accompanying the contest, the judges also observed how the contestants behaved when participating in charity activities, visiting children with cancer, going to disaster areas, storms and floods... Not only stopping at being present, the contestants also showed true sharing and empathy for the less fortunate. Through these activities, the organizers will evaluate the beauty of the soul and compassion of the contestants.
The Organizing Committee also affirmed its consistent viewpoint in selecting and developing contestants: not looking for "overly bright gems" but prioritizing "rough gems" - girls with the potential to be polished, trained and matured through the competition journey.
"We not only choose beauties but also nurture and accompany them to become truly beautiful women worthy of the title they carry," Mr. Phung Cong Suong emphasized.
