CMA CGM is currently increasing its operations in Southeast Asia to meet the growing cargo volume in the region. Ordering containers directly from Hoa Phat helps the company proactively source equipment in Vietnam, while shortening transit time and optimizing costs in the exploitation chain.
The batch of containers delivered by Hoa Phat was manufactured according to international technical standards, fully meeting the strict requirements set by the world's leading shipping lines. The entire production process is strictly controlled from input materials, processing, coating to acceptance. CMA CGM's technical team, in coordination with independent monitoring units and specialized inspection organizations, directly monitored each stage at the factory.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Amelie Humphreys, General Director of CMA CGM Vietnam, shared: "The cooperation with Hoa Phat is an important step to help CMA CGM strengthen its supply chain capacity in Asia. Ordering directly from domestic manufacturers near export markets helps us improve operational efficiency, shorten turnaround times and increase the flexibility of the regional logistics network."

Container shells are made from SPA-H grade hot-rolled steel, a weather-resistant steel specialized in the container industry. This source of raw materials is directly supplied from the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex, helping Hoa Phat proactively control quality and maintain stable production progress.
Hoa Phat's container factory is operating phase one with a capacity of 200,000 TEU per year, focusing on the production of 20 and 40 feet standard dry containers. After the entire project is completed, the designed capacity will reach 500,000 TEU per year. With its current scale, Hoa Phat is the leading container manufacturer in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
