Hoang Thuy Linh is "Outstanding Singer of 2023"

Last year, she held her first live show, released a series of new music videos and songs, and participated in a television drama. The singer is also preparing to release a concert film, recording a show with 7,000 attendees. "I never thought I had the strength to do so many things. It's a valuable experience for a singer like me to realize what I can achieve with the support of everyone," she said.

The event also honored more than 80 artists in various categories. Outstanding television actors included Hoang Hai (Life Is Still Beautiful) and Kieu Anh (Our Family Is Suddenly Happy). Dinh Y Nhung was named Outstanding Film Actress (Mom, Here's the Butterfly).

Den Vau is a singer dedicated to the community. Unable to attend the award ceremony, he sent a thank-you video , stating that he will continue his socially-oriented music projects. Last year, his music video "Cooking Rice for You " raised over 500 million VND in donations for underprivileged children in mountainous regions.

This year, the organizers added a category for Outstanding Live Show, Music and Dance Performance, awarding the prize to musician Do Bao for his concert "Alone in the Vast Expanse".

The remaining participants are stage artists from traditional Vietnamese theater genres such as chèo, tuồng, and cải lương, who have won top prizes in various festivals.

In his opening speech, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the program was organized with the desire to honor outstanding artists in the performing arts and authors who have made significant contributions to literature, while introducing them to the public; and at the same time encouraging artists and authors to continue working diligently in the field of art, continuing to contribute works that will "live on through time".

Mr. Tran Huong Duong, Deputy Director of the Performing Arts Department, said that the organizing committee hopes to support artists through the award. "I believe that the individuals honored are entirely deserving; they are not only artistic talents with high achievements but also consistently collaborate with management and organizing units to promptly implement valuable programs, performances, and artistic works that meet the public's enjoyment needs," Mr. Duong said.

This annual event, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, aims to honor outstanding performing arts artists of the year, especially those who have contributed to the preservation and promotion of traditional national arts. The selection committee comprises directors and musicians in the field of culture and arts.

Last year, Tran Thanh, Le Khanh, Lan Huong, Thu Quynh, Ngoc Lan, Tung Duong, and My Tam were honored.
