Ninh Binh province's science and technology activities have many bright spots.

NDO - On the afternoon of December 27th, the Department of Science and Technology of Ninh Binh province held a conference to summarize its activities in 2024 and to implement tasks for 2025.

In 2024, science and technology activities in Ninh Binh province saw many positive changes, contributing to the promotion of the province's socio-economic development.

The Department has completed the acceptance of 22 research topics and projects that will be implemented in 2024; of which, 2 topics were rated excellent by the Advisory Council and 20 topics and projects met the requirements.

The implementation and management of provincial-level science and technology tasks are carried out in accordance with the established guidelines, focusing on the following areas: agriculture , rural development, industry, social sciences and humanities, basic research and high technology, and gene pool conservation and development programs.

Throughout the year, many scientific and technological advancements were transferred, directly benefiting the local people. This contributed significantly to the socio-economic development of the locality; strengthened the relationship between research and development agencies and technology transfer centers in the area, especially creating a link between scientists and businesses in production.

In particular, inspection, verification, and management of product standards, measurements, and quality have been given attention, contributing to production development, market stability, and the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of businesses and the people. Intellectual property activities and technical innovation initiatives have changed the perception of many organizations, businesses, and individuals regarding the creation, management, and protection of intellectual property assets, promoting the development of product brands and enhancing competitiveness…

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Toan Thang, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ninh Binh province, stated that in 2025, science and technology projects will prioritize the application of achievements in digital transformation, biotechnology, high technology, and new materials technology; investment will be encouraged to support businesses in researching technological innovation, applying technical advancements, implementing quality management systems according to international standards, and building brands and reputation for businesses, contributing to improving product quality, production efficiency, and gradually integrating into the international economy.

To achieve that goal, in the coming period, the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Science and Technology will continue to strictly implement legal regulations on fundamental, comprehensive, and synchronized reform of the organization, management mechanisms, and operational mechanisms of science and technology; focus on effectively carrying out science and technology tasks; create favorable conditions for businesses to access and apply the results of advanced and modern scientific and technological research to serve production and business; and maximize the opportunities of the 4.0 industrial revolution for efficient and sustainable development. At the same time, it will promote the movement to encourage initiatives and technical improvements among civil servants, public employees, and workers; and continue to implement regulations on technology transfer.

On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in science and technology were commended by the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee.
