Vietnamese students maintain top position in international exams in 2025

Five Vietnamese student delegations participating in the 2025 International Olympic competitions all maintained top positions among hundreds of countries and territories with contestants.

Four Vietnamese students won gold medals at the 2025 International Chemistry Olympiad.

Specifically, up to this point, Vietnamese student delegations participating in 5 international Olympiads in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and information technology have all achieved excellent results. Notably, 100% of the participating delegations have won medals, including gold medals.

Specifically, at the International Mathematical Olympiad held in Australia from July 10 to July 20, the Vietnamese delegation had 6 students competing and all won medals including 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 1 bronze medal. The Vietnamese delegation ranked 9th out of 113 countries and territories with contestants.

At the International Physics Olympiad held in France from July 17 to July 25, the Vietnamese delegation had 5 students competing and all won medals, including 1 gold medal and 4 silver medals. The Vietnamese delegation was among the 10 countries with the highest results among 94 countries and territories participating.

At the International Chemistry Olympiad held in Dubai from July 5 to July 14, the Vietnamese delegation had 4 students participating and all won gold medals. Of these, 2 gold medals were in the top 10. The competition attracted 354 contestants from 90 countries and territories.

At the International Biology Olympiad held in the Philippines from July 19 to July 27, all four Vietnamese students won four medals, including one gold medal, two silver medals and one bronze medal, among the top 10 countries with the highest total scores. The competition had the participation of 298 contestants from 81 countries and territories.

At the International Olympiad in Informatics held in Bolivia from July 27 to August 3, all four Vietnamese students competing won medals, including one gold medal, two silver medals, and one bronze medal. The Vietnamese delegation was among the eight countries and territories with the highest results among the 86 countries and territories with contestants.
