The Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) plans to recruit 2,200 students, with 70% selected based on academic transcripts combined with international certificates, applicable to candidates who have won awards at the provincial level or higher, or who attended specialized schools.

On March 15, the Diplomatic Academy said the remaining quota will be reserved for graduation exam score consideration (25%), interview selection (2%), direct selection and priority selection according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (3%).

Compared to last year, the university reduced its enrollment quota by more than 100 students, mainly in the fields of International Relations, English Language, and International Law. However, the International Commercial Law program saw an increase of 65 students.

Branch (Projected) targets
International relations 460
English language 200
International Economics 260
International Law 200
International media 460
International Business 260
Asia-Pacific Studies 160
International Trade Law 200

For the admission method based on high school academic results, candidates need to have an average score of 8 or higher in three out of any five semesters.

At the same time, students must belong to one of the following groups: Having won an honorable mention in a national-level excellent student competition or science and technology competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training; having won third prize or higher in a provincial-level excellent student competition; being a student of a specialized school or a national-level high-quality key school; possessing one of the following international certificates: English (IELTS 6.0 or higher), Chinese HSK4 (from 260 points), Korean from Topik 3, Japanese from N3, or a standardized test score of SAT 1200/1600 or ACT 23/36 points.

The interview-based admission method is for candidates who have graduated from a foreign high school program or have studied abroad and graduated in Vietnam. With this method, higher scores in English, French, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean language proficiency certificates are required. For example, students need an IELTS score of 7 or higher, HSK 5 or higher in Chinese (with a minimum score of 180), or TOPIK 4 or higher in Korean, or a standardized test score of 1300 or higher on the SAT and 29 or higher on the ACT.

Regarding the graduation exam score review method , the school will announce details later, but will not use the results of foreign language exemptions, and will not add priority points to candidates with international certificates.
