In 2023, the People's Public Security Forces (PPP) and the People's Army have coordinated to seriously and effectively implement Decree 03 of the Government. The two units have proactively grasped the situation, promptly advised the Party, State, Party committees and local authorities on many important policies and solutions in the fields of politics, economy, national defense, security and foreign affairs; the police, army, units and localities have coordinated well in mass mobilization work and building the movement of All people protecting national security; the coordination in fighting and preventing crime between the two forces has become increasingly close and effective, especially during peak periods of attacking and suppressing crime, ensuring security and order and peak periods of attacking and suppressing drug crimes and human trafficking crimes; coordinated patrolling, controlling, fighting and preventing illegal entry and exit activities on the border and border areas. Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Public Security Tran Quoc To and Deputy Minister of National Defense Nguyen Tan Cuong requested the two forces to continue to concretize and organize the comprehensive and synchronous implementation of important strategies, resolutions, conclusions and projects of the Party and State on national defense and security in the new situation; promote the results and achievements achieved in 2023, continue to closely coordinate in information exchange, grasp the situation, avoid being passive and surprised, promptly advise the Party, State, Party committees and local authorities in the work of protecting sovereignty, sovereign rights, national and ethnic interests, and smashing the sabotage plots of hostile forces; proactively review and supplement combat readiness plans, absolutely protect the safety of key targets, projects, important political and cultural events; Effectively advise local Party committees and authorities to effectively implement the Party and State's policy on closely combining socio-economic development with strengthening national defense and security; focus on resolving social conflicts and contradictions, not allowing them to spread and form hot spots in localities; resolutely deploy plans and schemes to combat and prevent crimes on the border, especially in the fight against transnational drug trafficking and transportation, human trafficking, and cross-border smuggling; closely coordinate in ensuring national security, social order and safety, building and consolidating the great national unity bloc, effectively promoting the core role in building a solid national defense posture and people's security posture... In particular, closely coordinate in implementing plans and schemes to ensure security and safety during the 2024 Lunar New Year, spring festivals and national defense tasks.
