Conference on deploying work in 2026 of the Steering Committee for implementing grassroots democracy in the People's Procuracy sector

Attending the Conference were Comrade Mai Thi Nam, Chief Inspector of the Supreme People's Procuracy, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee; members of the Steering Committee who are leaders of Department 15, Department 1, Department 3, Office of the Supreme People's Procuracy and members of the Secretariat of the Steering Committee.

According to the Report on the results of implementing democracy at the grassroots level in the People's Procuracy sector in 2025 and the key directions and tasks in 2026, presented at the Conference, in the past year, the Steering Committee for implementing democracy at the grassroots level in the People's Procuracy sector promptly issued Work Program No. 03/CTr-BCĐ, Inspection Plan No. 10/KH-BCĐ, to organize the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level in the whole sector in a focused and substantive direction.

The Steering Committee plans to inspect 12 units; has inspected 1 unit ( Dak Lak Provincial People's Procuracy). The sector has implemented the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus and civil servants, reducing 907 units; promoting and applying breakthroughs in digital transformation in professional and technical activities.

The entire sector has done a good job of complying with the law, strictly implementing the professional regulations and instructions of the Supreme People's Procuracy's leadership; ensuring the right person, right crime, right law is resolved; no innocent people are wronged, no criminals are left unpunished. Continuing to identify the fight against wrongful convictions, the fight against criminals and corruption as a key political task. Handling many complicated economic, corruption and position cases that are of public interest; civil, administrative, business and trade inspection work has achieved many positive results.

At the conference, the Steering Committee members focused on discussing and giving opinions on implementing democracy in agencies and units; at the same time, they made a number of recommendations and proposals to further improve awareness and the role of democracy at the grassroots level...

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Mai Thi Nam, Chief Inspector of the Supreme People's Procuracy, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee, said: In 2025, under the direct leadership of the Head of the Steering Committee, the implementation of democracy in the whole Industry has achieved many positive changes. She also pointed out a number of key directions and tasks in 2026 such as: Perfecting the mechanism and regulations for implementing democracy at the grassroots and local levels. Promoting publicity and transparency; improving the quality of inspection and supervision. Improving the quality of dialogue at the unit; dialogue must be substantive, have conclusions and monitor the implementation of conclusions. Promoting innovation in methods of implementing democracy at the grassroots level...

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Duy Giang, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy, Head of the Steering Committee for Grassroots Democracy Implementation in the People's Procuracy, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved in implementing grassroots democracy in the entire Sector. The Steering Committee for Grassroots Democracy Implementation in the Sector has proactively and actively advised on the implementation of legal provisions on democracy, directed grassroots units in the Sector to organize the implementation of the Law on Grassroots Democracy Implementation with focus and thematic focus, ensuring substance and effectiveness, meeting the requirements of the Sector's political tasks.

To better perform the tasks in 2026, the Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy requested the Steering Committee to continue to fully grasp the Party and State's documents on democracy at the grassroots level. Effectively implement regulations on democracy associated with political tasks and the 2026 Work Directive.
