Conference on deploying court work in 2026

On the afternoon of December 2, Vinh Long Provincial People's Court held a conference to deploy court work in 2026. Comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended and directed the conference.

In 2025, the two-level People's Court of Vinh Long province handled more than 34,000 cases, an increase of more than 2,600 cases compared to the previous year; of which more than 30,000 cases were resolved, an increase of more than 2,100 cases compared to the same period.

The work of resolving and adjudicating criminal cases by the two-level People's Courts ensures that the right person is convicted, the right crime is committed, and the law is followed, without wrongful convictions or letting criminals escape. Cases of public concern are resolved promptly and in accordance with the law.

Comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee presented certificates of merit from the Prime Minister to two individuals of the Provincial People's Court with outstanding achievements in work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

Comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen presented the title of excellent emulation unit for the period 2020-2025 of the Supreme People's Court to the People's Court of Region 12 - Vinh Long.

Civil disputes are mainly related to land and property loan contract disputes. The two-level People's Court has done a good job of guiding the parties to fulfill their obligations to provide evidence and documents of the case, and proactively verify and collect evidence when necessary.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Ho Thi Hoang Yen presented a certificate of merit from the Supreme People's Court to the Provincial People's Court collective with outstanding achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the People's Court's Traditional Day.

Also in 2025, the two-level People's Courts organized 712 experience-sharing sessions, of which the Provincial People's Court held 68 cases and the Regional People's Court held 644 cases, exceeding the target set by the Supreme People's Court. Decisions to execute criminal sentences were issued for more than 3,400 convicted people whose verdicts and decisions had come into legal effect.

Digital transformation and e-court construction are implemented in various aspects such as: online court sessions; publication of court judgments and decisions on the Supreme People's Court's electronic information portal, use of court virtual assistants, application of the People's Court's management software to management and operation, and application of digital signatures.

Mr. Ngo Tien Hung - Supreme People's Court Judge awarded the title of excellent emulation unit in 2025 to regional court units.

Comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee congratulated and commended the results achieved by the provincial court sector, contributing to the excellent completion of tasks and many collectives and individuals were awarded noble emulation titles by the Supreme People's Court.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the judiciary to promote the tradition and achievements of 80 years of construction and growth, thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the working motto "Innovation, solidarity, responsibility, discipline, quality, for justice".

Improve the quality of trials, focus on doing well in court, avoid wrongful convictions and criminals going free. Strive to achieve and exceed the work targets assigned by the Resolution of the National Assembly and the Supreme People's Court, reduce the rate of cases being overturned or amended due to subjective reasons. Build a team of officials, civil servants, especially a team of judges who are truly "public-serving, law-abiding, fair-minded and impartial".
