Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association awards prizes for the 2024 journalism contest

(CLO) On the afternoon of March 11th, in Ha Long City, the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association solemnly held the awards ceremony for the 2024 journalism competitions; 27 outstanding journalistic works by individual authors and groups of authors received awards.

In 2024, in addition to advising on the organization of the local journalism award and encouraging journalist members to participate in journalism competitions and awards organized by the Central Government and various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations, the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association launched many journalism competitions.

Leaders of the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association and leaders of the Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented awards to the winning authors.

The journalistic works competitions are all linked to the province's 2024 work theme, comprising two thematic groups: "Improving the quality of economic growth in Quang Ninh province" and "Developing a culture and people rich in Quang Ninh's identity".

Specifically, this includes the photojournalism contest with the themes "Yen Tu Heritage 2024 - Touching the Heritage Region"; "Journalism accompanying the development of Quang Ninh province" and the photo contest with the theme "Beautiful Moments for a Green Ha Long".

The press works have reflected achievements in socio-economic development, promoted historical and cultural values; contributed to raising awareness and sense of responsibility of all levels, sectors, localities, people and tourists in preserving and promoting the value of the wonder, world natural heritage Ha Long Bay and other scenic spots of the province.

The results of the journalistic works competition on the theme "Improving the Quality of Economic Growth in Quang Ninh Province" showed that 55 works were submitted by authors and groups of authors from within and outside the province; of which 11 works received excellent ratings.

The photojournalism contest with the theme “Developing culture and people rich in Quang Ninh identity” had 34 works submitted by authors and groups of authors; 9 works were excellent. The photojournalism contest with the theme “Yen Tu Heritage 2024 - Touching the heritage area” had 44 works submitted by authors and groups of authors; 7 works were excellent.

The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the winning authors and groups of authors (first, second, third, and consolation prizes).
