Workshop "Digital Transformation to Boost Agricultural Product Consumption in Thanh Hoa Province"

On the morning of December 12th, the Department of Agriculture and Environment organized a workshop titled "Digital Transformation to Promote the Consumption of Agricultural Products in Thanh Hoa Province." This event was part of the 2025 Conference on Connecting Supply and Demand for Safe Agricultural and Food Products in Thanh Hoa Province.

The workshop was attended by representatives from departments, agencies, and businesses and cooperatives involved in the production and trading of agricultural and food products in the province.

In his opening remarks at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment, emphasized: Digital transformation in agriculture is not only an inevitable trend but also a breakthrough solution, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, increasing labor productivity, product quality, optimizing the value chain, and thereby improving the income and living standards of the people.

Therefore, the workshop was organized with the hope that businesses, cooperatives, and production and trading establishments in the province would have more opportunities and conditions to boost product consumption through e-commerce, social media, creating digital storefronts, tracing origins using technology (IoT, AI, Blockchain), managing growing areas, and enhancing the value, efficiency, and transparency of products. This would then promote consumption, expand markets, reduce costs, and increase income for farmers.

At the workshop, experts and managers presented topics such as: the application of digital technology in the management, production, and consumption of agricultural products; and guidance on skills for bringing agricultural products to e-commerce platforms and participating in buying and selling products on e-commerce platforms.

In addition, delegates exchanged and shared practical experiences and received answers to their questions from experts and managers regarding digital transformation in agricultural product consumption to achieve positive results. This contributed to helping businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities change their management, production, and consumption methods from traditional to modern and smart, with higher economic value.
