Students in many areas still cannot go to school due to deep flood water.

As of this morning (November 3), due to the impact of floods, the entire Ha Tinh province has more than 18,000 students having to stay home from school and 34 educational institutions temporarily suspending classes.

According to a report from the Department of Education and Training, the whole province has 34/676 educational establishments with 18,464 students having to stay home from school. Of which, there are 28 preschool, primary and secondary schools with 13,417 students; 3 high schools with 3,528 students; the rest belong to a number of continuing education centers, vocational secondary schools and colleges in the area.

The cause is that the heavy rains and floods in recent days have caused many inter-village and inter-commune roads to be partially flooded, making traffic difficult; some residential areas and schools have been isolated, and many schools are deeply submerged in water.

Currently, in areas where the water has receded, schools are mobilizing forces to clean, disinfect, and treat the environment, ready to resume teaching and learning activities as soon as possible.
