Steering Committee meeting to celebrate major holidays and important historical events in the province in 3 years 2023

Regarding the program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the Provincial Party Executive Committee and the Provincial Party Standing Committee attach special importance to it and have begun to develop an organization project since 2021. After completing the project, the province reported to the Central Party Secretariat for approval. Implementing the direction of the Standing Secretariat, based on the guidance of the Central Propaganda Department, the Project to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory includes 2 contents: Commemorative activities according to Instruction No. 69-HD/BTGTW of the Central Propaganda Department; Project to build, restore and embellish works to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory. Up to now, the province has submitted a report to the Secretariat and the Central Steering Committee to celebrate the country's major holidays in the three years 2023 - 2025. Along with that, towards the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the province has organized many meaningful activities such as: Launching the construction of the Great Unity House; launching a special emulation movement to achieve achievements to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory; focusing on mobilizing resources to invest in the construction of works and projects to celebrate the anniversary; proactively working with central departments, ministries and branches to coordinate the implementation of anniversary activities...

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu A Bang reported on the preparation for organizing activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and clarifying the difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of the commemorative activities; the number of members of the Organizing Committee and sub-committees assisting the Steering Committee in the direction of streamlining for effective operation; proposing that the Central Propaganda Department have a plan to guide and orient propaganda work towards the commemoration. In particular, it is necessary to report to the Secretariat for early approval of the Plan to organize activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory and the Project to build, restore and embellish works to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory so that the province has the basis and resources to implement the next steps.

Concluding the Conference, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong requested the Standing Office of the Steering Committee - Provincial People's Committee to coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to collect and carefully and closely review the list of members of the Organizing Committee and sub-committees in a streamlined manner to submit to the Steering Committee for a decision on establishment. The Provincial Party Secretary also suggested a list of expected members of the Organizing Committee of 12 comrades; a list of members of the Content Sub-Committee, the Information and Propaganda Sub-Committee, the Logistics Sub-Committee, the Security Sub-Committee, etc. Comrade Tran Quoc Cuong requested that all sub-committees, when assigned and given tasks, should not wait but must start working immediately. Exactly 4 weeks later, on September 21, the Steering Committee will hold the next meeting to assess the implementation of tasks to prepare for the celebration of major holidays and important historical events in the province in the 3 years 2023 - 2025.
